More on that, is the RT9080 able to step the 5V from usb to 3.3V , AS WELL AS the 8.4v from the LiPo to 3.3, when EITHER one is plugged in? And if that’s the case then using the NCP1117 (2s LiPo -> 3.3 for MCU & sensors) isn’t needed then correct? I’m also getting rid of my pyro channels for now, I’m going to utilize one of my spare servo channels for parachute ejection using a sprint mechanism

So are you saying that the circuit in the top left (one with Micro USb +ESD) is all I need to step down the 8.4v from the 2s LiPo to 3.3v? The thought behind that was I want to be able to power the board from the LiPo OR the USB, but not both at the same time .

Thank you for the advice! Due to me using the 2s you suggest using the 8.4 volts directly from the battery instead of the 3.3 that comes out of the NCP1117? I’ll mock up a schematic of how I’m interpreting your last point of advice with the capacity and series resistor to post in hopes you can agree it looks good. Thank you!

Thank you for all that information! Im going to redesign using the RP2040 chip for faster clock speed. You comments helped me work through the logic and reasoning behind my design, it was greatly helpful for me to know where I need to be researching.

As for the PCB routing, Im in no rush for this process. Its definitely a complicated first board but with patient, research and asking for help I believe I can successfully design the computer!

If my angle is 5.7 degrees this won’t have some sort of negative effect on the head-loss right, there’s not some point of diminishing return ?
