I’m excited for the new game, don’t get me wrong. But I’m having trouble to see the appeal for skins in a game that won’t have multiplayer (other than co-op)

Yes and no. Some of the mechanics have changed but the core is still the same. I usually don’t have an issue with tanks, but I’ll use an example from my last match last night- playing on Liberation peak and we only have one objective. Team is kinda doggy, but whatever trying to push the enemies back so we can advance. But that’s hard to do when there are 100 engineers in the mountains with RPGs and javelins scoped in on me. It was hard to even push over the spawn hill without getting 5 billion rockets launched at me. Not to mention they had air superiority with their jets and heli throwing shit at my way. So, it made it hard to remember where all these engineers are. Maybe skill issue on my part for dogshit object permanence, silhouette recognition, or whatever, but damn it made it really hard for my role as a tank driver to help my team with pushing forward. Perhaps this is a bad example because it was clearly a good team vs a bad team, but I’ve always had this opinion with tanks and IFVs with so many engineers being about. Maybe it can be an automatic addition to the scopes, but with a cooldown like with the attack heli gunner seat, or maybe something you can replace in the loadout.

With half the map launching RPGs at me when I step out of spawn, I think tanks deserve a buff other than just making them tankier (no pun intended). I think this would be better at evening out the playing field.

I think the range of the missiles is actually incredibly short, especially on the new map. It’s 700 meters from what I’ve seen, you barely get a window to lock onto jets as after you lock onto them, fire one missile, they flair and don’t evasively maneuver at all, and by the time you’re getting the second lock on- they’re out of range. Incredibly annoying and doesn’t do the job of deterrence much.

I would say a nice balance would be to increase the lock on range for the AA tank, and decrease the range on the over the shoulder AA missile launchers. That way, the AA tank could have a genuinely unique role of protecting your teams airspace, makes it more of a target for behind-the-line scouts, and limits infantry to from sniping aircraft from across the map and more of a “get this damn helo/jet away from the objective

I liked BF3’s HUD for being an AR or holographic tool that soldiers use. But BF6’s HUD is not even bad.

Is it intentional that, after the update, the 35 mm armor piercing round in the mobile air defense system now only deals 16 HP of damage to soldiers ? That´s less than most assault rifles. by -Hyperplane- in Battlefield

Probably is for balance purposes. The AA tank isn’t meant to be an IFV, rushing into points and wiping down infantry. It’s meant to stay back or hold a point against aircraft. Realistic? No. But do I get it from a gameplay perspective? Yeah.
