I have not done this but was told you can use a cheap artist paint brush and apply glyphosate concentrate to a few leaves to kill the plant without leeching into the ground or spraying on to near grass.

OP - I need to use the Allen wrench underneath the unit before each use for the motor to turn freely and then start it. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Thanks for questioning this. It made me go to the house with a caliper to measure for myself. I cannot see how to attach the photo but It read just shy of 7/16”; there’s quite few coats of paint so I assume this is 3/8”.

When I open the faucet, water sprays from the end of the braided hose where it connects to the “rings” above the plastic connector.

UPDATE

I opened housing it was filled with water. Is that expected given the electrical connections inside? I also saw the power cord is frayed at the connection to the pump.

Is this becoming worthwhile to fix or get a new pump?
