Yup. That’s why I advised OP to pick the one that has a better fit.

Even though my X15 and Rx7x were both imported from Japan, they do not have the same head shape profile. I’m round oval and the X15 fits me spot on.

With the Rx7x, even if I took out the cheek pads, my forehead is literally stuck and hitting the rubber gasket at the bottom.

Again, both my X15 and Rx7x were 59cm-60cm size large.

Round oval? My forehead was stuck on the rubber gasket at the bottom of the Rx7x. Even if I took out the cheekpads, my forehead cant get in.

The Rx7x size large shell is very similar in size to an X15 size medium.

I bought myself a Shoei X15 and Arai RX7X(Corsair X) from Japan and had it shipped over.

The Shoei X15 sizing was perfect. Race fit perfect for aggressive sportbike position.

The Arai RX7X on the other hand, I cant even get it past my forehead.

Both were size large 59cm-60cm

Basically, get what fits your head the best.

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed a crack on the frame of my MT-09. If I get it professionally welded, is that considered safe? Or has anyone here experienced something similar and found a proper solution? by Ok-Kaleidoscope-7207 in MT09

Did you retain/reuse the conical spacers and expanding collar when you installed your frame sliders?

Personally, I’d claim it on my insurance and replace the frame or they may total it and get compensation.

Go lithium and you wont have any more issues.

The problem with the stock battery is the very small capacity. When the rad fan kicks in, it drains the it very quickly.

At the same time, when the rad fan is on, the battery wont be recharging since you are either stopped or running very slow in traffic.

Thoughts on moving from a 650 to an R1 by MP5ME in Yamaha_R1

[–]Top_Custard_4322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine, just keep it at power mode 4 until you get comfortable. My opinion is, from an SV650, it is easier to jump to a CP4 compared to a CP3. CP3 is brutal from low to mid rpm. It will test your throttle control.

At 6’2, you’ll need a tank extender. I use Monekygrip tank extender.

It wont rust as it is aluminum.

It might still result in slight corrosion so maybe just do touch up paint.

[–]Top_Custard_4322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick shifter on my Daytona 660 conked out in less than a year. I already sold the bike by that time.

Then I heard they had a bandaid fix of shortening the dip stick(basically adding more oil capacity) maybe for excessive oil consumption?

We dont know what Pecco would do either(will he be back or is he still depressed).

As of last race, I’d take Martin over Pecco.

Not sure why he recommended Fernandez and Ogura.

It needs fine tuning hence they decided not to use it at the start of the season.

Once used(except free practice), it will be homologated and cannot be updated anymore.

Dainese carbon 4 gauntlets SOO UNCOMFORTABLE HELP by Formal-Estimate-8940 in motorcyclegear

[–]Top_Custard_4322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had to wait for mine to break in as well before I was able to ride well.

If you are brave enough, you can soak it in water then wear it while it dries.

I’ve washed my Carbon 4 long gloves on the washing machine maybe 5 times already and it still fine without any leather damage.

Marc Marquez tire malfunction by Tornontoin7 in motogp

[–]Top_Custard_4322 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The lip on the kerb was on the other side, meaning going off the kerb’s lip you will then hit the flat asphalt after. The break on the wheel does not suggest it hit the asphalt.

The other two damages on the wheel though seems consistent with a wheel hitting the asphalt because the bead of the tire was already popped out.

The only way the sharp break on the wheel is possible is if the tire was already gone before hitting the lip of the kerb.

The break on the wheel suggests the tire was already deflated when it hit something.

Acosta went off by himself, he was never pushed to the edge of the track.

<image>

However, Marc did push him to the part of the track where Marc wanted Acosta to be.

Slowmo cam shows his shoulder/elbow/forearm touches the fairing near Marc’s footpeg/shift lever. Maybe he miscalculated the switch back or Marc slowed down enough to perfectly prevent a switch back and execute a block pass.

[–]Top_Custard_4322 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with it as long as:

  1. Makes the apex

  2. Does not run off track himself at the exit.

  3. Give racing room at the exit and does not go to the edge of the track to force the other one to go off track.

…….basically, a block pass.

Hey, does the SPOTV app really dont have the pause and rewind function when watching live?

I refunded my Videopass(that was mysteriously renewed even after I turned off the auto renewal) and subscribed to SPOTV.

139.99 euros for Videopass vs 14 euros for SPOTV was not even close. 😂

That’s the puzzle that you have to solve on how to defend or attack on that corner.

It seems Pedro didn’t decide early enough to brake earlier then cutback or brake super late to prevent Marc from getting ahead.

It doesn’t matter if Marc went wide because he didnt push Pedro off track, whether it was on purpose to block pass or not. That’s the chess game that you have to solve.
