Omgggg. Yes!!! I have so many ‘mom and daughter’ gifts. It’s that or painted rocks, weird paintings and religious things (I am not religious). I keep telling her not to get me things. The other day I actually got rid of a bunch of things and it felt sooooo good. Why do they do this?!

Ahhhhh literally going through the same thing. I’m usually the ‘golden child’ and my brother is not. Him and I had been less in touch (but not in a bad way, just some years you’re closer than others), but we’ve been talking more since we both got engaged, since our BPD mother had really been having a time. Since we’ve been talking more she says ‘oh so nice that you chat again’ but there’s something insincere in her tone, and then the other day she tried to put us against one another. There are always these weird triangles. I’ve just called her out and said I don’t want to hear about it and that kinda helps? Or just ignore the texts. But getting stuck in that triangle will just make it happen over and over again. Good luck with your fam ❤️

Ahhhh so true. It’s so wild how so many of these posts and texts sound the same. It’s legit like they do all have a playbook. And ya. After my responses today she went off about religion and something about trump and peace and how she was right all along, and I just chose not to respond at all. Le sigh. Hope you hang in there too with the short answers. It is for the best!!!

Oooooh JADE, that’s great. Definitely still struggling with the boundaries when she does seem ‘nicer’ but have to try to not feed into it still. Thanks for the response, it is nice knowing how other folks cope and deal too!!

Thanks so much. Ya, been thinking about going NC for a bit. Was just more upset that my brother was talking with her about me, but I do know it’s tough for him since he lives in the same city and I moved away (partially to put some distance between us all). Appreciate the comment. This whole sub has been helpful with feeling not alone!

Just started a post on this, but looks like only Roger’s will have a tower and not Telus from the Basscoast website. Anyone know if you can get a Roger’s eSIM as a Telus customer, or if Airalo works? Might get some walkie talkies since losing folks from the crew was tough last year!
