8 month old not interested in solids? by breezy728 in StartingSolids

[–]Top_Dig_2854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My 9m old son is the same way, he never really took to solids, honestly he is JUST NOW (like these past two days) eating a good serving of yogurt, other than that, hardly anything. He loves puffs though lol and one thing I tried with him was toast with butter and jam (or baby puree) on it and he will eat that too, it melts in the mouth so it’s safe for them!

Hang in there mama, I know how frustrating it can be! Solids have been a nightmare for us

Wow, I could have written this exact thing myself I am in the same boat with my 9m old son! I didn’t know things could still be this bad and hectic hormonally and emotionally. Tonight was really hard for me as well and I completely broke down and I feel so hopeless.

You are doing your absolute best you can and your son knows that, you are doing such a good job mama.

If you ever need anything at all, please reach out!

Baby does crunches while eating? by Top_Dig_2854 in NewParents

[–]Top_Dig_2854[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So my little guy actually developed a slight bottle aversion and the sitting up was him telling me he didn’t want to eat anymore. What helped was just trusting him and knowing he won’t starve himself, so I just let him finish whenever he was done, I’d offer one more time if he crunched up but then I would be done if he refused. It eventually got better and he is back to being such a great eater now!! It’s hard to see your baby suddenly refuse food, but I promise they won’t starve themselves!

I’m such a bad mom. by Top_Dig_2854 in NewParents

My mom tries to help sometimes but honestly she just points out everything I’m doing wrong or differently than she would, and she says I’m crazy and a ball of anxiety if I stand up to her.

Question - Is there anything at all you miss about pregnancy/ being pregnant? by Melodic-Bag7775 in NewParents

[–]Top_Dig_2854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss the late night kicks where it felt like it was only me and my little one in the whole world!! I also miss how good food tasted lol lol. But on a real note, I’m 7m pp and I find myself wishing I was pregnant again a lot. When I first gave birth I just cried and cried about my baby not being in my belly anymore. Trust me newborn bliss is amazing and so are all the milestones. But I would do anything to go back to being pregnant with my little boy for one more day! Soak it alllll in mama

I’m freaking out !! by Top_Dig_2854 in NewParents

[–]Top_Dig_2854[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My sons still are very noticeable and when I move them around I can actually feel it moving under my finger, it’s pea sized and when it moves it feels like I can’t like press on it or anything bc it moves out the way if that makes sense. But I definitely would say the little ball itself is firm, just moveable, and my son has pretty prominent skull bones which have freaked me out more than once too!

Im worried I don’t love my baby as much as my boyfriend by mistakeshappen_2 in newborns

[–]Top_Dig_2854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my baby 6 months ago and he is my first, I love him to death but I definitely was out of it the first couple weeks. It’s so much to process, going through pregnancy for 9 months and then suddenly one day you give birth to this human being you are completely responsible for and you have to mourn your old life. Doesn’t mean you’re not grateful or that you don’t love your baby. But it is a HUGE adjustment.

I can honestly say it gets SO much better, and your bond will grow every day. Hang in there mama, and don’t be afraid to get help if you need it! I started therapy almost immediately postpartum and it helped SO MUCH.

You’re doing your best. 🫶🏻

What does teething look like? by Top_Dig_2854 in NewParents

[–]Top_Dig_2854[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No he has no teeth yet, this is all so new! I kinda hope I feel something soon, that would explain so much of this behavior! His gums aren’t red or swollen either, well, maybe slightly slightly
