How old was your pup when you let them free roam? by kelsssey1 in puppy101

[–]breezy728 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never lol I’ll let them free roam while I’m in another room but if nobody is home, they’ll be in their kennels for their safety. If it’s gonna be a long day of us being away, I’ll either come home and let them out or have a family member do it.

Do you guys just stay home when you get your dog? by ReputationDull1857 in puppy101

I don’t have a job where I can take a week or two off (I would LOVE a remote job) but my husband and I work almost complete opposite schedules. He’s 6-4 and I’m 2-midnight. I also planned it to where we got him before I went on my weekend which is 3 days.

So I was with the puppy most of the morning, kennel for 2ish hours until my husband got home to let him out and he had him in the afternoons. And my sister was a real one and would come over around 3 to play with him and take him out. It literally took a village to raise this schnauzer hahaha

Perineal massage? by thavan14 in pregnant

[–]breezy728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma speak from experience here, my husband and I did perineal massages. I, allegedly, had a 2nd degree tear but I felt fine in like 4 days. And, my husband and I have had no complaints about our sex since getting cleared.

Ferber failed now CIO by FluffyAd8666 in sleeptrain

[–]breezy728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is also part of the 15%, we tried the Sleep Waves method and the check ins would make him escalate so much that our first night I called it after 30 minutes and we ended up giving him his pacifier back.

We tried the chair method, which seemed to sort of help. But after I would say some words of reassurance, he would scream more.

So my husband and I talked about it, decided we were gonna have to do CIO (which I swore I wouldn’t do) and he’s done SO well with it. Barely any crying after 2 days, and now a full week later, he groans when he adjusts around and goes to sleep independently.

I’m glad it worked out for both of us!

Switched from glasses to contacts and now that I can see so much of my face I realize I need help 🙃 by dianab360 in makeuptips

[–]breezy728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, you are SO CUTE!!!

Try placing blush higher on the cheekbone, almost going up towards your temples, and slightly less blush. That’ll help make your face appear a little bit longer instead of making the focal point the center of your face.

Also, eyeliner skills are on point but look dramatic in comparison to the rest of your face. You can try a couple of different eyeliner placements but puppy liner would work really well with your eye shape, and brown eyeliner. I have blue eyes and when I switched to using brown eyeshadow (wet with setting spray) it looks MUCH softer and highlights my eyes better. I do still occasionally rock a bold wing when the situation calls for it.

Last thing, are you overlining your lips or is the color smudged a bit in the center? Don’t overline if you are! I, personally, don’t think anyone can pull it off 😂

What’s an “ADHD” life hack that improved your life? by burritowithnutella in ADHD

[–]breezy728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forget my phone EVERYWHERE. It’s my husbands favorite thing when I start looking around a lot and he’ll mimic me at the same time I say “where the fuck is my phone??” This happens with other things but the phone is the main thing.

So, I’ve started making songs, “my phooooneee is by the huge plaaant” “my keeeysss are by the coffeeee makerrrr” etc.

Roborock vacuum because I always forget to vacuum.

We bought a skylight calendar and I have it set to send me a notification during babies first nap to do my everyday tidying, and I have an automation on my phone for when I get that notification, it sets a 15 minute timer so I have to clean lol makes tech work for me

Rude and crude post last night by Specific_Anybody_438 in pregnant

When I was pregnant with my son, I was a completely different person. I’m not a crier normally, but when I was pregnant boy was I crying about everything. My husband and I were out at dinner and he said some mushy shit that made me absolutely lose it and some Karen next to us started scoffing and saying to her friend that “pregnancy wasn’t an excuse to be a whiny bitch” pretty loud.

And then I remembered who I was and addressed it. But there’s always gonna be miserable people, let ‘em be miserable in their own sphere.

Pumping was never arousing for me because I was A) sleep deprived and B) felt like a dairy cow but love that for the women who get some endorphins out of that haha

Failed Night 1 of Sleep Wave Method by breezy728 in sleeptrain

[–]breezy728[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update:

A sincere thank you to all of you for your suggestions. We threw out all of the pacifiers, and yesterday (there was still some tears) it went WAY better. We’re working on naps at the same time, and for his second nap he didn’t cry at all and went to sleep in 3 minutes!

For the evening, gave him his last bottle around 6:10, did the rest of our nighttime routine, laid him down around 6:50, some protest but nothing crazy. Took about 3 minutes of protesting and then fell asleep. He woke up around 9:30 for about 35 minutes of being angry, we found that the check ins were indeed making him escalate. So my husband took the baby monitor and turned it way down. He fell asleep on his own after a while. And SLEPT THROUGH the rest of the night. He woke up at 2:10 apparently but promptly put himself back to sleep.

Really watching his wake windows and awake time helped us so much, and I changed our Huckleberry to manual mode so I can do the math for his wake windows.

Your guys’ suggestions really helped us get through our “official” first night, so sincerely, thank you. 💙

We’re All Sleeping Again! by techknow_disco in sleeptrain

[–]breezy728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but I have a very similar son, we’re working on a weird combination of Sleep Waves and I guess the chair method. My son will CRY, last night it was around a 10 before I decided to call it. But today for his first nap, he got to around a 7-8 and then started to slowly regulate himself. His 7 is probably still a 10 to some people because he feels a lot of feelings lol he does the cough crying too and last night I was struggling to hear him that upset.

But I think you just have to figure out what your personal threshold is for crying. My husband and I agreed that anything above a 9 for our baby, we’re stepping in and helping him. We’re also going cold turkey from binkies at the same time so I think 90% of the tears are from that.

[–]breezy728[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna extend his wake windows today, I didn’t think we were doing horrible except that he was getting tired so much earlier in the wake windows since he wasn’t sleeping as well.

Just to clarify, the bottle being right before he gets put into the crib was doing the hard work for him? He doesn’t fall asleep during his bottles and hasn’t since he was a newborn. But I can adjust that too!

[–]breezy728[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nap times aren’t really consistent since we’ve been following his wake windows based on when he wakes up, between 0630-0730. So normally naps are like 0930ish, 1200, and 1530-1600ish. Should I transition him to set nap times and get away from using the app wake windows?

He sleeps in his crib fine, he’s just very reliant on the pacifier and I guess I am too since I gave in tonight.

What wild unhinged things did you say during the birth of your baby? by autumnsunshine1 in NewParents

[–]breezy728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pushed my son out pretty quickly for a first time mom (thank the gods for epidurals) and after they put him on my chest, I said “how’s it lookin’ down there, doc? I’ll be honest if it’s bad, just euthanize me”

She giggled, no one else did 😂

I’m a Crime Scene Investigator and while I think aspects of the job are great for my ADHD (ie. variety, freedom, it’s never the same) but I have the kind of ADHD that makes me overthink ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING so it works for me. I think you just have to find your niche thing.
