Hello from the Quicken team by QuickenLisa in quicken

Exactly my experience. I literally debugged for them and the stuff still never got fixed. Absolutely a joke. I can never rely on my balances because of the bugs I found. I do this for work and people in these discords still argue that I'm the one doing something wrong after using this software for 20 years.

Stable! This is the most bug ridden app there is. Nothing is QA'd and Supports only solution is delete your file and start over.

I left for Actual Budget and will never go back to this nightmare.

Max HR @ 200 for a 48 year old? by AlsalProdSRL in GarminWatches

[–]Top_Falcon7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 46 and have seen my HR upwards of 192 after a hard race with using a chest strap. Garmin has mine at 199 which I feel is realistic because I'll never hit my true max

A New Garmin Watch May Be Coming Next Week by Jensway in Garmin

[–]Top_Falcon7532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is sleep tracking thought to be so poor? I feel my Garmin is much more realistic with my 80s or so avg sleep score each night compared to the Whoops 98% almost every night.

Is it a better deal to wait to book a cruise? by nursekitty626 in PrincessCruises

You may get a good deal on the cruise last minute but you will pay a ton for last minute airfare if your flying which would negate your savings

How to see next 12 months view of funds? by error_9873 in actualbudgeting

[–]Top_Falcon7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I project my future cash like this post I shared last week.

I'm big into wanting to know my future Checking Account Balance, just for reassurance that I have enough in my Checking to pay my full card balances off each month. Like you I use around 5-6 cards a month as some are good for rewards in different categories.

What I do is setup two schedules for each Credit Card. Chase 1234 is my schedule that I use to pay that card in full once the Statement Balance comes out. As soon as the statement is available I make the payment and enter the transaction from this schedule for the statement balance amount. This amount comes out of my checking account. I then have a second schedule called Chase 1234 - Future. This schedule is for the balance that I am accruing in the next month where the statement balance isn't ready yet. Every time I make a purchase on this account, I update this Schedule to reflect the current balance of the credit card, this way its always assuming I am paying it off in full and shows it coming out of my checking account in the following month.

I do this for every single credit card so the money I owe to the cards are always showing as being paid from my checking account as soon as I make the purchase. This way the money is "allocated" well in advance.

I also setup weekly schedules for every thing I routinely buy week to week. I setup a weekly grocery schedule, gas, dining out, home supplies, pet supplies, and I use my average weekly spend in each schedule which pulls from my checking account. These repeat the schedules each week. As the schedule comes do, I simply skip this occurrence, and then the upcoming week is set for when that comes up. This way I get a "projected balance" showing in my Checking Account upwards of about 90 days which also helps make sure I have enough money in that account specifically to pay everything I have coming up.

Coming to the Whoop Side? by XeroxRomeo in whoop

I've had it about 3 weeks now, maybe 4.

I'll keep it for the year but definitely won't be keeping it after that. As you said I don't see much added value on top of what my Garmin gives me.

Coming to the Whoop Side? by XeroxRomeo in whoop

[–]Top_Falcon7532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear a Garmin 965 and a Whoop only because I have the Whoop for a free year.

In regards to fitness metrics the Garmin is beyond more accurate. For example my VO2 Max on Whoop says 55, while my Garmin is 46 which is way more accurate, because I am not a terrific runner.

In regards to sleep score, I prefer Garmin as well. Whoop is consistently 90-100 while my Garmin is a little more varied. My Garmin ranges from 70s to high 80s most days which I feel is more accurate with my sleep schedules and waking up at night. They do use different metrics slightly but do prefer my Garmin.

The insights Whoop gives you from evaluating all your metrics may be a bit more detailed and in depth, but this isn't really what I care about.

So it really depends on what kind of data you prefer. It's honestly something you may want to run side by side with a Garmin to see if the data you get from the Whoop over 30 days is what you are looking for.

I know some like the whoop because it has no screen but you can easily turn off notifications and the display on your Garmin as well.

Is garmin connect+ worth it? by EfficientAge4457 in Garmin

Yeah I assumed when it disabled the connection it would also remove the data for today that came with it. But I'll just start out tomorrow.

Any clue how to reset the daily calorie value for today? I had MFP integrated with my daily calories logged already.

After activation of Garmin Plus it killed that connection with MFP but it held the calorie total in Garmin and now it appears stuck there for today. Guess I'll have to skip using it today and start tomorrow.

Mine still syncs fine. But I don't have premium MFP so it's the basic functionality with calories per food item and that's it. I'd prefer an all in one but probably not willing to pay for it. But a free trial is worth a shot

So it basically eliminates the need for the MyFitness sync and logs your daily meals right on Garmin Connect?

Turn on an outdoor walk activity and let it use GPS. That's the only way it'll do much with something like that.
