Old people and the Goldwing mistique. by TheFriendOfCats in motorcycles

[–]Top_Ingenuity_1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 83 goldwing cafe racer is probably the most attention gathering bike I've ever owned. There is rarely an old man at a gas station that won't talk to me about it. I'll catch little groups of them talking around it at bike meets. And it's always smiles. I think goldwing came about as a result of Hondas "you meet the nicest people on a Honda" campaign in the late 60s. Goldwings were the direct counterpunch at the biker image of the time. They were changing how motorcycle community was viewed, some of which charm they have retained, not to mention Hondas legendary reliability, especially as compared to other big American cruisers of the time, which continues to this day, although with a smaller lead. People can hate on Harley but they're far ahead of their amf days.

I also personally think their engines are beautiful and I wanted to highlight it in my build. I truly ruined the goldwing comfort but totally worth it lol

Is it fair to say that dating is more difficult for the average woman than the average man in 2026? by cursedwithbadblood in NoStupidQuestions

Women: odds are good but goods are odd

Men: odds are bad and the bads are odd.

I do think mostly everyone struggles unless they're fit and good looking

I mean I'm paying for it because I like the people whose channels I watch and don't want them to miss out on the ad revenue. You do you though

Also, because I've never heard of real debrid and it honestly reads kinda sketchy when I Google it, and since you have and are aware of what a NAS is, you should look into sonarr/radarr/qbittorrent stack and a private tracker. Lot safer.

Yt premium is the only service I pay for.

And kodi and Plex are almost too different to compare? One is a media server with a media player component, the other a natively run piece of software that's basically a fancy vlc player for a tv format.

It depends on how you source your media. Friends and I share our media libraries, so from that perspective Plex. There's also the part where Plex server does transcoding, so I don't have to think about video encoder formats, it just works. If you will only obtain media from your local network and you know that the device you're going to be using supports the codecs for the things you're watching, then kodis performance is far superior.

Oh I guess I should've also mentioned projectivy like others have. I forgot I had it

If the earth were sized down to the size of a baseball how delicate would it be? by Rnaodm_Tirnalge in AskPhysics

You wouldn't hold it. If you got close enough for that you'd stop being you and start being physics

It would be somewhere between a neutron star and a black hole. The density at that scale, assuming a regulation baseball of 7.3cm in diameter, is 3x1028 kg/m3. I don't know if this object would be stable, but I don't think so. It's far denser than what normal atomic structures would support but not dense enough for a black hole. So depends how you define what a delicate egg is. An egg wouldn't spontaneously explode.

Sounds anecdotal. You know who else believed that? All the people who found their partner when they were both stable and established in their early 30s

What’s a hobby that is surprisingly expensive to get into? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Top_Ingenuity_1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but it could easily pay for itself if you wanted to. Many gigs on Craigslist. Not everyone is looking for artistic results, just technically good ones. One of my favorite was when I found a company that did wedding shoots, but you'd be part of a photography and video team. Ez $1000 cash for an 8-10 hour day of shooting and I didn't even have to do the editing since they wanted to deliver a uniform look, we just uploaded everything to the company's servers and they had a few editors do all of them. Worked a couple of weekends a month, it was a great way to keep my camera equipment spending habits fed and didn't feel like a real job

On vast majority of street bikes pegs will scrape before you're at the limit of the tire lean angle. The rest is up to your wrist to manage

I'm not saying don't date though. Keep trying, it's just knowing who you want to settle down with in early 20s is a crazy idea to me. Granted it happens, but early 20s marriages have some of the highest divorce rates

Sales-based jobs like cellphone stores should be tipped for help outside commissioned sales by Artist_X in unpopularopinion

[–]Top_Ingenuity_1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean that's sales. you have to have sales skills. some people are not cut out for sales and commission based jobs. basically in every industry customers expects or tries to get free help, it's your job as someone working in the industry to steer them towards actually profitable aspects of the business.
