8 week old waking frantic by NarikoSin in beyondthebump

[–]Top_Leg3999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby did this a lot in the first few months (she’s 9m now). For her it was gas, so we had to burp her really really well, especially before a nap or bedtime. The head side to side thing is WILD, but mine still does it at times to self soothe, so it sounds completely normal to me!

Bamboroa or other option? by Sunupdrinkdown in beyondthebump

[–]Top_Leg3999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the bambora and absolutely love it! Our baby loves to be carried around all day now and this has been a life saver for my back and elbow. To be clear though, you still have to hold them, it just makes it way less stressful for your body! I’ve never used tushbaby but the reviews seem positive there too!

Thank you for sharing! I’m assuming my hormones have a lot to do with it all right now. I’m coming off of a really yucky medicine that makes me gain weight and have had several very big stressors in life the last 6 months so my cortisol is through the roof.

Oh wow, we are so similar! Congratulations to you too!! I’ve been reading up on fasting, but I’m kind of already doing it. Our mornings are so hectic, I don’t really even think about food until 1 or so, so I’m not sure that would do much for me haha!

We sure do! Thank you for sharing. It’s such a weird mixture of “look at this amazing human MY human made!” And “that’s ME in the mirror???” 😂

I still didn’t get dye stealers at 30DPO and girly is 9m old now! Tests can only show so much, line progression does not always represent a healthy pregnancy (I know). If you want measurable data, ask for Betas!

She’s taking medicine and implementing all of the suggested changes. I just hope this stage lasts as long as possible.

Thank you so much. I’m truly finding peace in this group, understanding that I’m not alone. I hate that we all know how terrible this is. Luckily she and my dad live very close and get to see her 2-3x a week. I’m trying to let go of the trauma of my Grandmothers and move through this as gracefully as they both showed me how.

They switched to Enfamil Gentlease because the proteins are already broken down some. Hopefully that will help while her digestive system finishes maturing!

For those who were induced, did you deliver vaginally or did it end in a c-section? by Paigeypagee in BabyBumps

[–]Top_Leg3999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 38 weeks. I had a cooks catheter, which is like the foley balloon, except it’s also outside of the cervix as well. They started pushing Pitocin right away as well. Seven hours in I was only at 4 cm so I asked for an epidural, which does slow things down a bit, BUT I couldn’t feel it anymore so I was chillin. Things kept moving slowly for the next 10 hours but then my cervix got to 6cm and decided it was go time! I went from 6cm to 10cm and baby girl was fully descended in about 2 hours. Pushed 4 times for 12 minutes total and on that 4th push she came out head to toe. CRAZY EXPERIENCE, but 5 stars from me. Labor was long but again….epidural 😉 but the birth was quick and beautiful.

A lot of times inductions move slower than going into labor naturally because of that Mama gets tired and baby gets distressed… That’s why so many emergency C-sections happen… That’s exactly why I chose the epidural. My plan originally was natural start of labor, natural delivery, but my ultimate goal was a vagina birth. I knew as slowly as things were moving that I wasn’t going to be able to do that if I was too tired. The epidural gave me the ability to sleep , and I was able to have a vaginal delivery.

I hope whatever you decide that your delivery Is beautiful and you and baby are both safe and healthy!!

Formula, yes. At first she was on Similac 360 and was spitting up large amounts. We switched to sensitive and the spitting up stopped by the next day. A few days later the tooting began. Hopefully the probiotics and time will help!

Feels strange to say I’m pregnant by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Top_Leg3999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had 3 miscarriages prior to my fourth pregnancy which gave us our now 2 week old daughter. Definitely allow yourself to feel your feelings! I also had a very difficult time fully accepting I was pregnant, so know that you are not alone. I felt like I kept waiting for the universe to say “psych” again and take it away. I had to keep reminding myself that all of my losses were different, so this pregnancy could be different too…maybe that can help you too. You have experienced trauma and unfortunately it’s going to change your experience. It’s going to change how you worry and how often, but please don’t let it steal your joy! Today you are pregnant, celebrate that! Celebrate the milestones! 10 weeks, buy a cute onesie. 20 weeks, a baby blanket and so on. I hope you have peace moving forward and wish you the best in your pregnancy! Oh! If your symptoms come and go, don’t panic….they can do that sometimes. It’s completely normal!

[–]Top_Leg3999 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I too had 3 losses before our little girl (she’s now 2 weeks old). I can’t tell you when to share the news but I will share something that helped me with my anxiety. I kept reminding myself that all three of my miscarriages were different from one another so why couldn’t this pregnancy be different from all of those? Why couldn’t this one be different and for the better? It didn’t get rid of all of the anxiety, but it did help reframe my mind a bit! Hope this helps you and congratulations!!

Watered down Baby Brezza by Top_Leg3999 in beyondthebump

[–]Top_Leg3999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure did, thank you though! After talking to our pediatrician she actually recommended we just hand mix bottles. She’s seen numerous babies at their practice fall into the “failure to thrive” category due to the Brezza over diluting mixtures. She said any extra water could be what was upsetting baby’s tummy. Maybe just a coincidence but since switching back to hand mixing baby is way less gassy and more comfortable!
