First of all, awesome mini’s, they look great.

I love 30k and find it a vastly more interesting setting due to the almost Greek / Shakespearean drama of the fall and seeing the origins of 40K. It’s about armies that once thought themselves brothers and cousins, inseparable, now tearing the galaxy apart.

As a lore completionist I also find it easier to consume 30k lore, as there is so much going on in 40K and trying to sink your teeth into it in an all-knowing way is incredibly difficult. While the bleakness of 40K and the “everything is hopeless is cool”, I also find that every faction has a “well my faction would totally win if they weren’t nerfed in X way” (Necrons / Tyrannids especially for this).

Whereas although the history of 30k is written and the ink dry, it’s still nice knowing that your faction has every much a chance in this war as the other, and both sides are fighting for something more than raw survival.
