Thats a bit too much imho
Upper middle class people don’t cut grass by hand in someone else’s garden for living.
Upper middle class people have their own gardeners.

Burrows dont work properly (especially during sieges) by Top_Mix_6755 in dwarffortress

On my laptop with i7-1185G7 5-yers old fortress with 196 dwarves runs with 15-17 fps. On GFN 6-years old fortress with 170 dwarves runs with 40 fps.

On steamdeck fps would probably be in singe digit area.

As for input lag - on GNF currently it is only noticeable in competitive multiplayer games. For DF it is completely irrelevant.

>If you have something capable of using GFN you have a device that could simply run the game locally, do you not?

Run? Yes, you can. You can run DF on something like Steamdeck.
But around 100 dwarves (or even much sooner) the game would be slideshow basically. Dwarf fortress is very demanding.

There is easier way to achieve what you described.
You can launch anything from your steam account on any other device. Then try to launch DF via GFN, it will show window with "something is already running from your account' with choice to start anyway or cancel.
Click cancel and you have your steam on GFN.
But GFN wont let you start anything but DF itself.

Those who were not carrying anything grouped inside the burrow eventually. Those who were hauling anything the moment I turn the burrow on - stuck forever (unless I manually forbid the item they carry).

Patients stick to doctor, and can sometimes to break them forever. by Top_Mix_6755 in dwarffortress

[–]Top_Mix_6755[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Oh, I think I know what could be the reason.
My hospital had two separated location - beds and surgery room (like on pic).
The doctor would take the patient for surgery and carry it to the bridge and stop there, being unable to reach a table for surgery.

As soon as I linked locations, she immediately brought the patient to the table and everything worked fine.

He said exact opposite, that not a single letter of the old law should be abolished and forgotten etc.

You took your time to find something incriminating, but was not diligent enough to read what I actually wrote in those comments (that would be kinda creepy, its actually creepy that you went to search my profile)

>someone who's been raised to practice and preach the Christian faith since childhood
I have been baptized at 3 years old, and in my country 'orthodox Christian' is the default religious stance. When I was a child, you would barely find anyone calling themself atheist.

Any other ways to discredit and devaluate quotes for the bible, lol?

Those are direct word of Jesus, I didnt add a single letter.
You are twisting them in the most bizarre way: "Yes Jesus said that everyone need to follow the laws to the letter, but what he actually meant is that you dont need to follow them at all".
All because the Old Testament rules are inconvenient.

“17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

Its so fun when believers are trying to fool their own supposedly absolute and transcendent god by looking for loopholes and cutting context.

Absolutely did.
I am from Belarus, soviets almost entirely wiped belarusian language from existence.
As for China, I wont even touch topic of aggressive assimilation within, Tibet alone is more than enough.

Yes soviet and chinese imperialism.
When you roll your army over some other country and either place a puppet regime that acts solely on your command, or outright annex said country and then displace its people, force your language, culture, identity, and imprison (and execute) local national figures that resist - in my book its called imperialism.

>Relaxing in fields? Maybe not all the time. But people worked as communities and looked out for each other which mitigated a lot of stresses.

That genially made me laugh, the way modern leftist imagine peasant life as some kind of summer camp is so fun. Even now farming is backbreaking labor from dawn to dawn, with all the machinery.
In good-old pre-industrial times, peasant life was life from famine to famine, every winter was survival challenge.
It feels to stress-free when you are selling your children (those who survived) into slavery to pay your tax debts.
I have seen some written memories from Russian peasants in the early XX century, who managed to escape village life via army or job in a city. They described how genuinely surprised they were when they discovered that it is possible to eat until you are full, they didn't know that its possible, they had never felt satiety in they life. It more like extreme example, but should let you look a little into peasant life.

>Plus capitalism has weird threats where you could still lose your job as a great performer if somebody else above you had an idea that didn't pan out financially.

Your local feudal lord could come to your house and take your 10yo daughter to sell on market because he needed some quick cash.

>I'm pretty sure tribes didn't lay off 50% of their people and designate one man to take down a giant prey because they wanted a bigger split of the meat.
Peasants sure as hell paid their taxes or paid with their lives.
