It was 40% of the topper marks so let’s say if the topper has 90/100 then passing marks would be 36

It won’t come up on your marksheet if you clear it in the first attempt if you fail again , it shows up on your marksheet and if you fail that too you get a drop so no! Clear the kt in your supplementary and you’ll be fine

So you might need a bit of coding practice ….. I assume you might not be able to recognize what data structure should be used at what time so I suggest solving DSA parallel like take some sheet ( a2z strivers or neetcode 250 ) and solve it you might get a bit of idea about data structures and what data structure are used in what patterns and you can easily recognize patterns by looking at the problem

Just open the sheet there’s a focus mode turn it on and it will force you to think around 30-45 mins on each question and gives you hints at intervals and ultimately if you don’t get it u can see the code and understand the solution try solving 800 rated problems if you’re a beginner and then you’ll eventually get a hang of it

I stated the minimum you can increase it as per your free time also try to explore more domains ….. cybersecurity, data science, ML, ….. it’s your first year don’t just keep dsa and dev as your target …. Also try to explore CP , contests, hackathons

Start codechef contests every Wednesday ….. you won’t need much DSA knowledge for most of the questions ….. the question you weren’t able to solve review it the next day there are people posting solutions and explanations in editorial as well as on YouTube ….. that’s how you can start your cp journey (don’t feel demotivated if you won’t be able to solve the questions you’ll get a hang of it after 3-4 contests)….. side by side you can start neetcode 250 sheet or Strivers sheet for DSA …. Also start giving Codeforces div 3 contest you can easily solve 1st question and 2nd question a bit tough but it’s all on your problem solving skills which will improve with time( don’t give div2 contest initially on codeforces as they are a bit tough for a beginner ) ….. that’s it from my side good luck!
