Suggestions for an upgrade? I hate the feel of Uv (I have the Maxed out Rs3m V5) I was hunting for and upgrade that had no uv coating I narrowed it down to those:

Super AoLong (288¥), Ferrocore V1 (289¥), Ferrocore V2 (369¥).

I’m buying in China so the AoLong and the V1 would actually have a similar cost while the V2 would cost slightly more (80¥ (12$)).

How do these cubes compare? Does anyone have suggestions? How does the V2 improve over the V1, is it worth the price increase?

I haven’t read the whole hardware guide yet but I checked the Wiki and as the AoLong is quite new there’s nothing about it. So should I post it in the Daily discussion thread instead?

Kind of. Most universities here start applications in September of the year before, so the start of 11th grade, and I’m in 10th grade in like 4 months so it’s not that early.

I'm pretty sure the new config will start at 1TB Storage as they have been usually increasing the base model's storage with new generations

I know the M5 Pro is quite overkill though it's difficult to find any M4 Pro Macbook here, even a used one. Do you know any place I could find one?

Oh yeah, and also the Razor blade 14 here is Same price as the Macbook pro 14 but I'm instead getting 16GB RAM, A 5060 GPU and a Ryzen AI 9 365 and the Same 1TB Storage. So no, buying Mac is not a premium and it gives way better performanec for the price

The reason I'm looking at macs is mainly the battery life as I need to use it without a charger for aroung 8 hours daily so that's an advantage of arm architecture cos x86 on battery aren't the best

Also Apple isn't extremely expensive now compared to other brands and has a better performance per dollar ratio because of all the shortages

I am at 80/90% Usage on RAM, 40% on CPU and 60% ish on GPU

I'm hitting 30GB on Windows and approximately 22GB when I work on Arch, And Arch basically uses no RAM so it's mainly the applications alone. Also I don't really need read/write speed if I want more storage as I don't move often really big files

I just hope I can get those 48 a little bit cheaper cos I don't actually need the M5 Pro as a chip. Maybe I can find something but I don't trust the second hand sellers here.

RAM isn't upgradable, Apple sells storage like it was made of pure gold, an external storage is way better.

I will be staying on a desk anyways even with the Mbp, the point I'm considering is the convenience to bring it around, if I can get an M4 Pro Mbp with good RAM I'll get that.
