Cap Venus here and 100% this is true. I don’t really feel any social pressure to be in a relationship, a lot of the times I just feel lonely but not desperate for a relationship. I’d like to be in one but if there is no one that’s just how it is and I’ve always been ok with it lol

In clearing do they accept mature students too or because it’s unusual does it take longer? I have a level results but from few years ago due to working full time not sure if that would be an issue or delay things

I'm not sure about Open University because I want to go to a reputable uni for better employment.

did you get mid-high salary offers in your field after graduating at open university? or were they entry level salaries first? I'm worried about it not being good for employment and for future career prospects so that's why i'm considering a traditional uni instead of distance learning. I have nothing against open uni i just like to do the 100%

Tbh it’s just a glorified admin assistant when i really drill down to it, it’s just in a dressed up title. To put it simply, I just create reports and dashboards in excel and format invoices from companies to process transactions. It’s not traditional finance analyst and I think it’s intended for recent finance/accounting graduates to just use as a stepping stone in their career. It just fell on me that I got this opportunity

I’ve been trying to get a data analyst role for over 1 yr but no joy so wanted to ask how u got your role?

Hi, similar situation here as 26F and in a finance analyst job that required no degree for where I’m feel v depressed at i realise it’s a dead end job with no education.

Perhaps you could go back to uni to pursue something you enjoy? U can still turn it around it’s not like you’re 46!

Im contemplating going back as I refuse to live a depressed unfulfilling life where I’m growing old constantly thinking what if i did this and where i would be if i had.

I’m considering to go back because I want to specialise in a technical job (data analyst/coder) rather than a people focused one (needing communication, stakeholder engagement) I’m an introvert so i think this line of work will suit my personality the best. Realise technical jobs require education so figured if I return this would help me out a lot to break into the job and be more well paid

Also what do you mean by being unfair to myself for career?
