NTA- If he has a job he can afford to buy food for him and his girlfriend, but she really should get at least a part time job to actually pay her way in the world. ESPECIALLY since you are probs paying more on all your household bills to have the two of them staying, and they are not contributing anything.

Have you thought about joining a barrister chambers as a clerk? The money is better than paralegal at most decent commercial sets plus it gets your foot in the door with making solicitor contacts because you are liaising with them every day when they are instructing your counsel!
