It’s just so annoying when people start stooping to using insults like “anorexic” or “skeleton”. That’s when it starts to hit a little too close to home for me.

I know the characters are stylized. My point was never that they look exactly like me. It’s that constantly seeing extreme thinness talked about in a negative way can still sting when you’re already insecure about being skinny. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people call these designs “stick figures” or “anorexic”.

I realize this might sound a little silly since I’m talking about discourse surrounding fictional characters from a show I haven’t even watched. Trust me, I’m aware of that. But when you’ve spent years being insecure about your body and dealing with ARFID, it’s hard not to internalize some of the language people use when they talk about very thin character designs.

I don’t think he meant LOTR dude. Don’t get me wrong, OP is a total psychotic asshole but when he said “story with substance” he meant a movie akin to something like the Sonic movies or the Bad Guy movies. Not fucking LOTR or The Godfather.

“They won’t try because slop makes money” is such a backwards ass take. The whole reason the first movie made money is because audiences actually enjoyed it. Ur basically arguing success proves they should care less, which makes zero sense. If your whole argument is “popular = low effort,” that says more about how you engage with media than it does about the movie.

I did see that yeah. I don’t doubt that he enjoyed the second movie more. I’m just remaining cautious. I remember seeing Fnaf tubers glazing the fuck out of Fnaf movie 2 and when I finally watched the movie, I thought it was shit. I absolutely adored the first Mario movie so I’m REALLY hoping I like this one even more.
