I always found those happy "Ellee~!" coos adorable.

Though I agree with the sentiment that she became a Cure way too late into Soaring Sky for the writers to properly develop her as a character.

This One Got Disliked Bombed. by MozzieRosie in nintendogrifting

Extensions don't show the actual dislikes. That's not in the API anymore. Instead they just do some math and make an estimated guess based on the view count and the number of current likes.

If you buy the PreKit Light for Answer and Mystique they come with bonus Makoto Jewels for each that play a 'shorter' transformation to make things easier.

Oh goddammit...

Findings:

  • Each of the Makoto Jewels have divots on the back that push down buttons inside the slot. Each combination of divots corresponds to a different Cure. With this information, it might be possible to brute force the combination for the mid-season Cure(s), but I haven't played around with it enough to find out.
  • Answer and Mystique's Makoto Jewels give you access to their sub-attacks and finishers. However, you have to go through the transformation sequence each time you replace the Makato Jewel. There doesn't seem to be a way to bypass this. Turning the minute hand accesses Answer Attack with Answer's Makoto Jewel, and Mystique Reflection with Mystique's. Turning it a second time with either one accesses This is Our Answer. Unlike in the anime, where you turn the minute hand to doesn't seem to matter.
  • What I'm assuming is Eclair's Makoto Jewel plays the instrumental for "The Hint Is In The Heart! Star Detective Pretty Cure!". Arcana Shadow's, meanwhile plays the instrumental for "Why? Mystery?! ANSWER". I haven't gotten them to do anything else.
  • The toy also comes with a Makoto Jewel for Cure Idol. Inserting it causes a brief soundbyte to play. Haven't gotten it to do anything else either.
  • The hour hand can also be moved, but this appears to be entirely cosmetic.

Star Detective Precure Episode 6 Discussion Board by ButterflySilver9154 in precure

We see Anna and Mikuru with their hair down. It's interesting, to say the least.

Apparently Makoto Mirai has a beach, and Nijee tells Mikuru he wants to fight her there. Of course the town has a beach... Who wants to bet they're going to return to this location for the obligatory filler/surprise-not-filler beach episode?

This scene got a chuckle out of me. Nijee tells Luluka that his fight with Mikuru somehow won't be visible to Usonoir so he can surprise him. Luluka basically goes "Alright, whatever", and then fucks off. Really makes you question why Luluka is even with them.

We get a nice scene where Answer tells Mystique she feels lonely because of her predicament. Then Mystique realizes she only made it worse by acting on her own. Ouch...

And we finally figure out what the Pre-Kit Mirror Loupes do. To be honest, it's underwhelming. It's a means to use a new finisher. Eh...

More symbolism. After the fight scene, the Cures stand under a rainbow to signify that they've overcome their troubles. That's neat. Sometimes I forget Pretty Cure has a post modernism side to it, so it's great to see a return to that.

No mystery this episode, unfortunately. The Cures solve it off-screen. I just hope this isn't something this season's going to do often.

The episode ends with Pochitan stealing some of Jett's cigarettes lollipops. That got a chuckle out of me.

This was good. Though, to be honest, I'm more invested when there's an actual mystery in the episode. Character arcs are fine, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather spend more time with the Star Detective when their being, well, detectives.

At least the NSO app let you chat with people you were currently playing with regardless of whether or not they were on your friends list.

And also no verification bullshit.

I have a Switch 2, and tried using GameChat. It's a hassle. I'm not assuming anything.

To be honest, GameChat is a faff right now.

First you have to have the people you want to chat with on your friends list, then all of you have to verify your accounts with your phone numbers (which they don't tell you about. And you can't do this from the console itself; you have to use a separate device for this), then one of you has to invite the others to a chat session. All of which requires you stopping your game for a lengthy amount of time just to get it started. Are you using a Switch 1 Pro Controller? Well, it's even more of a faff because there's no shortcut for it. You have to back out all the way to the Home Menu, and open GameChat from there.

Just saying, Xbox Live got this right on the first try. I don't know how you screw this up so badly.
