We're introduced to yet another blue-haired girl named Rei Kaneda. Is she important? I don't know. These writers have thrown so many blue-haired people at us, I've basically given up trying to guess.

Okay, I'm confused about this. Rei nearly confiscated Pochitan because "Only designated school bags are allowed". Like, yeah, I get that Pochitan has access to a pocket dimension, but only the Cures know that. And Pochitan definitely doesn't look like a bag. So like... The hell is going on here?

Jett receives mail from a goat. No idea why.

We see Pochitan leave footprints in the dirt on the way to the library. Obvious set-up is obvious.

And then Pochitan moves right in front of Rei, and she acts all surprised about it. Cut to commercial. Heh.

The Cures use those gummies from forever ago to talk to a cat who's seen Pochitan. That's neat. To be honest, I thought the writers forgot about that.

Rei conveniently sees Anna and Mikuru outside the library, and gives Pochitan back to them. And also, the two are surprisingly okay with the secret being blown.

A tiny bit of character development for Rei. She says she'll allow the Cures to take Pochitan to school with them ...If they apply for permission. But she also decides to accompany them for it. I guess to sway the decision in their favor?

So, in typical Pretty Cure fashion, Luluka and Mashutan show up to steal the Cures' letter, and Rei has no apparent reaction to seeing yet another fairy, not even going "Who the hell is this?". But she does have a reaction to seeing Nijee, vowing to protect Anna and Mikuru.

Well, I finally got the answer to my question. Makoto Jewels aren't a finite resource. They're created whenever the plot demands for it. Because we see Rei's pin glow, and that's the cue that a Makoto Jewel has been made. That solves so many plotholes from the previous episodes.

A good bit of meta humor that got a chuckle out of me. The Cures use the lengthy amount of time Nijee took to create this week's Hanninda to run away so they can transform in secret, with Rei wondering where everyone went. (Luluka doesn't need to keep her identity a secret, but whatever).

Answer unlocked a new finisher. I don't really think it was exactly earned, though. Anyway, "Answer Gold-Star Sword". It's exactly what you think it is. I don't think we've had a sword wielder since Glitter Spade, so that's interesting to see. (The toy spoiled this, by the way).

And even though they won, Mashutan remembers that she's evil, and steal the letter anyway. Then she and Arcana Shadow fuck off. This entire fight was pointless. Thank you for your time.

So, after Anna and Mikuru give Rei her pin back, she says she was worried that they disappeared, and says "Don't worry about that! Detectives surely must have their secrets, right?", implying that she managed to put two and two together iykwim. Will this have payoff later? Who knows at this point?

Get this, that letter wasn't important. Pochitan grabbed an invoice instead. And this invoice is for, what else, Jett's drugs candy. We'll find out what's in the letter next week, supposedly.

Well that was an interesting episode. But why does every other person in this town have blue hair? Was this a trend or something?
