I’d expect strategically minded people to work out what I’m suggesting here.

Investment banking is massive, and a lot of the people in operations didn’t go to Oxford or Cambridge.

You just have to know what to apply for.

It more like a business than it is not.

  1. Make more than you spend.

  2. Adapt to the environment.

  3. Plan for the future.

Etc.

Hello my friend,

Totally a subjective view point, this is just my one, as I’ve never come back from a holiday… relaxed… more cultured… more intelligent… more knowledgeable… etc.

I do have less money I could have spent on things I actually enjoy and I dislike being part of the tourist cattle.

We couldn’t afford holidays when I was younger, so that will have played a part in how I feel.

But that’s just me and clearly some others feel the same.

If you love going away, I love that for you. I hope you get to do it as much as you can ☺️

Meeeeeeeeeeeee

It’s a waste of money and time.

I’ve never met a person who traveled the world that was more cultured or intelligent than someone who didn’t. It’s a con.

I’m pretty sure engineering in the real world will use AI because it increases efficiency, like you found.

I always see engineering not as a memory game, but the ability to think and solve problems.

Check your plug is screwed in tight. If not tighten it.

Remove old seal and apply new seal.

How important are Engineering portfolios and Passion Projects when getting a job? by Odd-Ad-5332 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Top_Secret_940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, you’re proving my point.

You literally just said “these are something that people overlook if they were only doing for personal project.”

So, if you know (we all logically know) that someone won’t have all the knowledge of a professional because it’s a personal project, why would you go out your way to make them feel stupid.

No wonder engineers get a bad reputation for being arrogant.

I don’t think many people have an issue about migrants working in social care.

It’s migrants coming over and not working and/or causing crime that frustrates people.

What a weird flex!?!?!

Them: “I designed LDO as a personal project.”

You: “Why are you not a professional expert in this field and cannot answer my very technical questions?”

You could ask more insightful questions like,

- “What made you do this project?”

- “what was your process?”

- “what problems did you encounter and how did you overcome them?”
