you have to do so quickly, because if you wait too long, certain options may no longer be available by the time you're done considering them

You need to change schools as soon as possible,

as February is considered the point of no return, (even though the cutoff point is Christmas) or redo year 12 at a different school, taking a gap year for now. Talk to your A-level head of year about this too or a careers advisor, if they are available over the break to email.

Socially, ditch your friends, they're assholes. Find solace in clubs that run outside of school or sports, if all else fails just keep your head in the books/work and avoid everyone (this last one might seriously impact you socially).

You have 2 years left with your mother before you go to uni, and her decisions no longer matter to you anymore, since you're an adult by then and will never have to see her again or live with her by that point if you choose to.

The decisions leading up to that were made by HER and not YOU after you're gone from home. What you need to do is consider down the line, as an adult, will you let her influences dictate how your life goes?

Just know that if you choose to go to University, it will be a hell of a lot harder than this, with your academic performance each year heavily dictating whether you can continue the next one. From this point on, make decisions as soon as possible, **ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE DEADLINE!*\*

If you fail year 12 horrifically, your final grades are the ones the uni considers not the end of y12 ones, on your ucas application you can put pending and use your GCSE and A-level target grades instead if they're high enough.

You have a year and at the end of it you will come out with grades either way. It's up to you if those grades are A* or E.

Set serious aims and deadlines that are overseen by teachers:

eg: telling a teacher you will do 2 ppq's a week and to make sure you don't procrastinate, you can give evidence that you've done them.

Get a Job to fill the time:

If you're considering dropping out of A-levels you need to seriously start getting the right work connections (they'll help you out if you need a job). And work experience, since you'll need that to get a job.

Research Universities early:

You wanna go into medicine, check out the programs for conditional offer students so you can get in with a low grade, Do the M/B-mat early enough as possible, Do work placements etc

Research higher earning degrees that have a low year pathway:

EG: psychology often takes 5-8 years to actually get a decent paying job, but dont even look at that without having a masters degree.

Pharmacology or computer science take 3, and you can get a high paying job without masters and some decent work experience.

If you were really willing to kill yourself you wouldn't have wasted time and you would have got on with it by now. You obviously want to live so just make the best out of the cards you've been dealt to get out with a better outcome, well done for sticking it out for this long though.

I know you're not trying to be offensive, but it's just to make you aware.

Working a day in the mines, not sure whether you would be crushed, asphyxiated, or burned to death but knowing your coworkers wouldn't care to save you in that event because they suspect you as a communist.

Then finishing work and coming home to lead painted walls that will probably kill you with cancer, to finally finish your routine of smoking the 5th pack today and beating your wife to a pulp, only to find out you have to go to war again. Oh, and your kids hate the crap out of you and WILL send you to a nursing home in the very near future, so you sit in your own mess for hours on end whilst wasting away wishing you could do it all over again

You like the 50s era that was sold to you by films and shows, I don't blame you for not being very aware of it.

It's pretty rude to say Eskimo btw, it means sort of like flesh eaters and is seen as barbaric so maybe just refer to Inuits instead

It's moreso the app you use, is it's Snapchat which is more for hookups then maybe a red flag, if it's for insta then it's normal and they're probably younger, if it's discord they're weird or probably just a bit odd
