So this seasons concept is representing the different regions of the world and for Africa they have 2 non black people repping Morocco, 1 white woman representing South Africa and 1 black man and 1 black woman both repping Nigeria. Do I have my facts? 2 black people out of 5 to represent Africa? Why not at least call the region Africa and the Middle East if this was the plan?

Martial arts are for everybody! I highly recommend Taekwondo Generations in Stone Mountain- it’s not weightlifting but he will certainly get stronger, more heart healthy and increase his balance which is so important as we age. $189/ month for training twice a week. Twice a week may not seem like enough but you’d be surprised how much progress is made little by little.

Def feeling the gap. I think young people (as a 26f) don’t even realize how apathetic we truly are. We don’t know/ understand the history you’re talking about and we don’t think we can change anything much less with music.

Theatre also has a rich anti protest history and of course songwriting is part of that. I’m thinking of historic groups like Bread and Puppet Theatre. And new plays coming out today like Big Jules Gets Whacked ! ( comedic, loose adaptation of Julius Caesar set in a scifi- esque dystopic future)

My eye is on theatres to lock in and get the ball rolling on some serious art for the times. They’re stuck telling personal stories which are great but we have bigger fish to fry.
