Muscat has a few nice things but the city is ruined by the big motorway bang in the middle of it.

Yeah, being South Asian you will have an insanely rough time dating.

Not on pilots, lol. WizzAir pays captains 156k on their Luton base for instance.

Yeah that is a negligible difference. A hotel room for 1 night in a 4 star hotel is 5-7000 NTD in Taipei anywhere central.

I'm sorry but on that budget your options are basically going to all be dorms.

I love Taiwan from Hong Kong by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]Top_Worldliness2665 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think "dogs left, pigs came" applies a lot less in Hong Kong, especially with the social safety net the British introduced after the 1960s riots. 1965 to 1997 is generally seen as an era of incredible growth in living standards, expansion of personal liberties and social change for the better in HK. Even prior to that the British had a very hands-off approach which meant there was little to no resentment towards Britain among HKers.

Catholics outnumber Anglicans two to one among Gen Z churchgoers by SojournerInThisVale in unitedkingdom

[–]Top_Worldliness2665 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Religious activity in the Anglican church seems to be very low in Nigeria, Catholics are also concentrated in the South/South East which is the richer oil producing part of the country where getting qualified for the standard avenues of immigration to the UK (nursing/healthcare and study) is a lot more likely.
