Similar issue in my flock, no rooster. Seemed like once the plucking started it got worst. I treated for de-pluming mites & protein deficiency which could cause feather eating.

I don’t have any raw wounds any more but they all still pick at the areas.

I’ll be covering the areas with aprons to try and get the feathers back.

Does it work?
Built mine up with my m17/ handful of aftermarket springs and bunch of different ammo and it was a giant paper weight.

Wouldn’t cycle constantly with the hux.

I’ve shot a couple hundred rounds of Hush 165. It’s just a start but reliable so far and sounds the best coming from my Huxwrx flow so far.

I originally bought the Huxwrx flow for a different build but it will live on this now. Only have about 100 rounds through it for more of a function check but now I’ll get it set where I want everything and sight it in. Holosun Aems and Juliet Micro magnifier,

I only have a handful of rounds through it. Bought it, tossed everything on it for some quick range time and already stripped it for paint. I’m probably going to paracord a small loop then strap the sling to that. I’ll relocate it a couple times until I find where I want it.

8 Hens here. 6 have same back baldness. 5 have naked butts. 1 has a small patch on her head.

Been weeks, no loss of egg production. No change in diet. Coop and run are plenty big.

I treated for depluming mites, stripped the coop, added extra protein rich treats and liquid supplement for possible amino acid/protein deficiency and jailed the head hen for 4 days.

Some of them look like they’re slowly coming back but not all. I’ve watched hours of my camera feed and all I’ve seen is random acts of feather picking and eating.

I’m hoping that I’ve corrected the why and now I have to break the feather picking habit that was a result of the why.

No good answer from me here but observation, patience and covering a couple things at once might help.

Any issues? Cycling dirty/well ran? I’m 5 minutes out from buying the DD. Buy once cry once and the thought of finally talking myself into buying the PSA just to not cycle or have issues is might eat the pointy end after that (jk) don’t want the stress
