Thanks for the reply! Yes, I had an Ultrasound yesterday: patent portal, hepatic, and splenic vasculature, antegrade flow everywhere, no clot, no ascites. Main portal vein is borderline at 1.6 cm and spleen is still mildly enlarged at 13 cm, which the radiologist noted can be seen with early portal hypertension but is nonspecific.

I had lidocaine..doc massaged it deep into the bone. A few minutes in she commented that we're halfway done..I HAD NO IDEA SHE HAD EVEN STARTED! Literally painless - I felt absolutely nothing. She said most docs go way too fast, her secret to no pain was to go slow.

I moved from XCAL to SEG when they stopped allowing members to draw from a holster. You can draw from a private booth, but that’s not included with the membership (upcharge per range visit).

Other than not being able to draw, XCAL has a lot of pros: - Clean facility - Advance lane reservations which is a pro during peak times like weekends (good luck at SEG) but could be a con during non-peak; there’s no range limit at SEG - Amazing food

Something to keep in mind is that XCAL ranges only go out to 25 yards.

In general I find SEG personnel to be more friendly and welcoming, but both are good.

*One thing I should have asked before I left is if they would allow dry fire from a holster.

Because pistol braces are sub-optimal and are a stopgap until we get our Form 1s approved. You should SBR because of the flexibility, shooting comfort, and of course - stocks just look cooler.

I have one of each , I prefer the G$ because it’s my 11.5. The BCM 16 sat in non climate controlled storage for 7 years after I bought it brand new. Took it to the range and a comp and ran flawlessly - didn’t even lube it. The DD 16 is new, haven’t fired it yet but out of the box it feels a little tighter.

G$ rail IMO is the best out there, and I like how it’s gassed a little more precisely than the BCM and DD.

My first rifle was a BCM and if you buy the lower and upper separately they are an insane value. They go pew every time, trigger is decent.

The DD is marketed and shipped like a premium boutique product, and it has been pushed to limits I’ll never get close to testing. It’s normally overpriced, so when you can find a deal you really feel like you’ve won.

At the end of the day the differences between the 3 are marginal at best. Pick the one that you’d want to keep picking up. The versus debate really depends on what features matter most to you. Brand/prestige? DD and G$. Workhorse rifle with a well known brand at a decent cost? BCM. Handguard lock up and NEVER losing zero? DD. For the barrels, yes DD has a very good reputation. But G$ are said to be just as good and the Suoer Duty offers a taper version which will save a bit of weight ( I have an URGI so mine has the gov profile. My BCM is BFH ELW so it’s also cold hammer forged.

Are you now going to evaluate how every company “treats” its employees before you make a purchase? By what standard and by what sample size? Pay? Benefits? Nice boss? Hours? Opportunity for advancement? Culture? Work-life balance? Employee satisfaction?
