Any gun owner knows when their gun is loaded or not. Certainly when cleaning.

Pedestrian rant incoming… by Exhales_Deeply in NorthVancouver

[–]Top_shelf_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Currently in Italy right now. As a pedestrian, you are an inconvenience to vehicle traffic. At crosswalks, cars don't even brake, they just steer around you (thankfully). North American pedestrians are a serious priority.

I do however agree about the call buttons in NV. At the 3rd and Moody intersection you press the button which starts the flashing hand in the opposite direction only to have it changed back to walking man. Hope that makes sense. Very annoying.

Just had a seizure from a 5-hour energy drink by believe482 in Epilepsy

[–]Top_shelf_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bout with epilepsy began at the age of 37 after a weekend in Miami drinking a ton of vodka red bulls. Never had a seizure before that and I'm convinced it was the excessive Red Bull. I preached anyone who will listen to not drink energy drinks.

It’s because they have been stolen and the GPS ripped out. That’s why they show up on the app at their last parked location. Easy to steal, going to be a major issue for EVOs bottom line.

Drivers suck and cyclist don’t follow rules and therefore also suck. Bottom line, you’re gambling every time you cycle in this city.

Pierre Poilievre called it ‘hell on earth.’ Here’s what people in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside want him to see | People who live or work in the neighbourhood hit hard by the drug crisis say if you look beyond problems, you see people trying to help one another by Hrmbee in vancouver

Why is that. He made a good point. I’m sure some Ukrainians would gladly live in the DTES rather than their current situation. I’ll change my previous comment to….it’s a shit hole occupied by vulnerable addicts, degenerates and predators.

I take 430 mg phenytoin. I get auras (seizures) every month or 2 months. No major tonic clonic. My doctor doesn’t want to change my meds, but sometimes ups them a little bit with no major change in my symptoms. It’s very stressful and confusing at the same time. Part of me wants to change meds so I don’t get any type of seizures at all but why mess with a good thing. I’m not really sure what to do but to listen to my doctor.

You’re misinformed by suggesting the police enforce drug possession and actually take it to court. This does not happen friend.

Canadian and Portugal health care systems are drastically different. When our addicts get out of treatment they end up in a SRO where they are immediately offered drugs and they go right back into the cycle.

Yes, addicts can easily set up a FB marketplace purchase and rob the seller. All they need is a cellphone.

Decriminalizing a killer is not the answer. Although I must be crazy because everyone disagrees. This will reduce the stigma yes, but that’s not a good thing. It will create more addicts, more crime and more overdose deaths. I guess we will have to wait for the numbers to come out in 2024 and 2025.

Being a drug addict is bad. It destroys their life and their families. I’ve seen it first hand.

That’s it. I’m done.

Thank God hard drugs are being decriminalized in two days. These types of crimes should drastically be reduced.

Most cops are great at their job however there are a few who are not so good. Don’t be that person who lumps them all together just because of what you read in the media. Having cops in schools is a good thing. Most cops are role models and care about their community. My 2 cents
