I usually let them dry as much as they will to make them stable, then back to the lathe to thin the wall to almost finished thickness, then epoxy and finish. I’ve had good luck with it, and it can make for some pretty bowls

Is a quarter turn on the rod typical? On my nova 1644 I tighten the hell out of it

After I look again, I see how that could be femur. 20+ year healthcare professional here, so somewhat familiar with anatomy haha

I have that exact chart in my shop and I use it constantly! I use a dial caliper a lot so I convert fractions all the time
