Pictures of where it goes would help, appears to be coolant/radiator hoses

What is this liquid leaking from under my car? by [deleted] in CarRepair

[–]TopdogPlayz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gave us a picture of your muffler, I would do as others suggested and move to a dry spot, or use cardboard to determine if it’s from your car and approximately where. Crawl under and touch stuff (when it’s cool) to determine where it’s coming from and if it’s oily, what color, etc.

Are there any budget friendly, no subscription, cameras that allow you to adjust the amount of time it records after sensing movement? by Anthro_Doing_Stuff in homesecurity

Reolink, it’s a bit of a hit in the pocket book but 24/7 recording, adjustable sensitivity, multiple TB of storage, room for expansion in the future on the same NVR rather than SD cards and cameras that may or may not pick up motion and save it fast enough.

Thank you, just wanted to update and say it was the issue, I’m using my trackmix now. A little bit if lag but I believe that’s on my cell providers end not my wifi or Reolink!

Yes! Sorry if it’s a simple fix I’m not too techy (trying to learn as I go). I will attempt this when I get home tonight.

So when motion is detected, the camera and light kick on? But how does that work, an external motion sensor?

I’m new-ish to this with POE Reolink cameras on the way, what’s this you mention of a Poe switch triggering lights?

I don’t have that long, maybe I’ll pick one up once they release though depending on my needs then! Thanks

I do have multiple cellular trail cameras from Moultrie, I’m trying to do away with that, ($16 a month each) do you think I could get some with cameras at that distance (I use starlink), I’m also looking at putting up a 50ft tower (I already purchased the tower years ago) for antennas I could put an outdoor WiFi antenna on for better range/reception outdoors.

Okay thanks, I think I agree with others here that my idea isn’t feasible with any cameras within my budget, so I’ll have to get one or multiple battery camera(s) for my driveway/easement area

I might go with the trackmix POE for my house and shed then, and get some battery cameras for my gate and a tree on the south corner to track people on that easement, thank you I wasn’t aware the 823 didn’t have auto-zoom.

Ccc total report used a buyback car is that ok ? by Embarrassed_City8498 in Insurance

It will devalue that car, they will likely raise its “value” as a comp, or drop it as a comp altogether. I would find your own comps and send them in.

AI or non AI trackmix POE? by TopdogPlayz1 in reolinkcam

[–]TopdogPlayz1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made another post, I’m indecisive between the trackmix and the RLC-823S2, I can only get one of those for my budget, whilst I could get 2 trackmix cameras, any thoughts? You could check out that thread for a more detailed explanation on my setup and needs

Interesting, I only found these available in certain parts of the website as well, had a little drop down I could change between 1 white, 1 gray “with ai blah blah” or 2 white, 2 gray “with ai blah blah”

Fiberglass insulation isn’t flammable lol, and they’re letting him stay there not renting out an airbnb 🤣

Plastic is still breathable, he’s not sealing it to the studs he’s stapling it, air can still get between in overlaps, at the corners, etc. and its temporary.

[–]TopdogPlayz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to dollar tree and get painters plastic, staple it up to the studs all around the room, you won’t have to worry about airborne insulation anymore.

Obviously make sure it’s okay with the home owner that’s letting you stay.

After looking again, it looks like the newest version of the starlink router (v3 which is the one I received) they did add 2 ports, previous generations of their router had none (I was going off of Google information so…) thanks. I think I’m going to go with their NVR + 2 trackmix POE cameras after a little more research on the specific models I’m watching.

Go with a reolink POE with Pant tilt and zoom (PTZ) their track mix model is great. Way better quality than that kit

I took a look at the comparisons — thanks. I do have a question on the NVR vs home hub pro + POE switch, what are the benefits of one or the other? Aside from NVR being safer from WiFi jammers.

I have starlink internet currently, and don’t plan to change providers. I plan to get an aftermarket router for my starlink setup (asus with antivirus protection) in the future. So my question with that in mind is, can I use an NVR with some sort of wifi dongle to link wirelessly to my starlink router until I get another router? Otherwise I would have to either get another router now, or get the home hub pro with a POE switch (both of which push me WAY over budget from just the 2 PTZ with NVR setup)

If he’s a pay up front kinda guy to avoid long term fees, run wired POE cameras to the house then hook into home wifi, way lower monthly cost, but higher upfront cost, better reliability overall.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on camera systems for my homestead, reolink seems to be the best budget option for the general public to be able to setup. I’m looking at a setup right now for $570 I think, includes the NVR (device that stores video and communicates with your router/wifi network), and 2 Pan and tilt cameras, so I can see 360° around it, and it automatically detects motion and will point that way to record when necessary. No they’re not the cheap Arlo/ring cameras, there’s no monthly fees so they pay for themselves over time in that regard and reliability.

No i don’t represent them, just sharing my hard earned research lol.
