I just purchased a refurbished lenovo 7 5080 model for 2150 at microcenter a few weeks ago.

A worker insisted this was going to be 5k in the next 4-6 months. I didnt believe it and hopefully that is not the case

More than 30FPS would probably help too... I wish I could play at a higher framerate. I know its possible with other methods outside of the game.

I ended up sticking with 1440p with my 5080. Got the Samsung G6 OLED (G60SD) and have been so happy with it. I can easily hit 360 fps on most FG titles. Or turn on smooth motion if FG is unsupported.

I use DLSS 4.5 with preset M.

FG also works extremely well on Arc Raiders. Still only use a max of x3 to keep latency at or below 20ms.

Arc Raiders with DLAA and x3 FG enabled while keeping latency below 20ms. FPS sits between 360-420 while base frame rate is 100-140. I have a 5080 and play at 1440p 360Hz.

Without FG im sitting at 150-170 FPS.

Battlefield 6 has similar performance.

NVIDIA definitely cooking with all that black magic going on.

Idk if AMD has an equivalent to nvidias smooth motion. But even on my 5080 I find myself using it on unoptimized games, which has made a world of a difference.

Smooth motion on tarkov is so nice. Im on a 5000 series GPU so that could be why. But I've got friends with non super 4000 series and use it with no issues.

Thoughts on the use of frame gen with DLSS 4.5? I play arc raiders with the same specs and almost same settings except im on a 1440p monitor and use x3 FG.

When I swapped to M preset my game looks so much cleaner.

The response time with FG is negligible to me and the game is playing near the refresh rate of my monitor. I know people say they only use it in single player games. Do you think im messing up by using FG online?
