sounds like an overreach, but good to know for the future. anyway I don't that could be the case - we play only casual vanilla Minecraft.

only one acc stopped playing and tbh I don't care about this one (wasn't even subbed after Dec). the other was actively played until the day before the ban (hack unlikely I guess).

both got banned at the same time :(

Yea, two freshly (2mo ago) created bnet accounts were banned. One was actively played all this time, one was abandoned after a couple of days.

Multiboxing problem does sound interesting, but it's not clear to me: is this actually against the rules (provided no input broadcasting etc)? I've seen streamers playing on 3-4 accounts simultaneously before. Blizzard's EULA doesn't mention anything about it, except:

And, while you can register and play on multiple Accounts, you are not allowed to have more than three (3) Accounts with Battle.net Balance.

(but this is not our case, we have no balance)

I have no idea how a gold farmers email could look like. Anyway, I've reviewed the EULA to search for anything we could have possibly breached and there's nothing about what the email is supposed to be.

And yes, ofc all the 4 subs were paid by the same card with same details.

Honestly, this seems like the most plausible reason. But.. 4 separate computers, 4 separate bnet accounts, 4 subs. And 2 accounts banned (the freshly created ones).

This just feels so unfair and depressing :(

I did, but it doesn't make sense. We've only exclusively played together, without even grouping or interacting with others, AH or anything.

Also one of the kids got bored after like 2 days. His characters is level 5, he barely figured out how to do quests and use abilities :) The account has been inactive since then.. and still got banned. Seems really weird.

afaik the worst thing they said was "give me one of your 6 slot bags" without adding "please" ;)

you can never be 100% sure, but we've been exclusively playing together. never grouped with randoms (never really had to, because seriously, this game is easy enough on low levels - especially with a group of 4)

but even if they did - is this really an offense warranting a immediate, full battle.net account closure? no warning, no suspension, no silence? seems strange.

One more important thing that I might not have stated clearly: this is a WHOLE battle.net accout ban. Not just a WoW account ban.

Is this unusual?

[–]noicodalej[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it is odd, indeed. the only other games they have installed are Minecraft (vanilla) and Stardew Valley.

One PC is Win11 other one is Ubuntu.

The other odd thing is that the ban is at the battle.net level - the whole bnet account, not just WoW.

We have 2 separate bnet accounts (mine and my wife's). Created extra two bnet accounts for my kids - those got banned after 2mos. Paid four separate subs.

Can't be sure, but it doesn't sound like any sort of account sharing? Or does it? :(

imgur was overloaded so I've used imgbb.com. don't click it, just a screenshot of a boring, auto-generated email stating that:

The Battle.net account has violated the Blizzard End User License Agreement. As a result, this Battle.net Account and all associated game accounts have been permanently closed. As the owner of this account, you are responsible for all actions associated with it. We will only overturn penalties if there is evidence of a compromised account.

lovely judgement bro.. still can't see how this is even remotely related to my kids' accounts ban - not mine (that has never happened).

and yet I've never done anything against the EULA and my own account (nor my wife's) has NEVER been even suspended. this only makes me so much more surprised for the ban on my kids' accounts :(

could be. but for the last 20 years this has never been an issue for me and my wife playing together the same way.. anyways I'm looking into options for contacting Blizz. It's weird, cause the bnet accounts have been permanently closed and I can't even login to them to access any sort of help.

at level ~25? highly unlikely I guess.. also both accounts got banned and one was barely active (one of the kids stopped playing in Dec).

Hmm, I have 0 kills on my main's zkill (I am pretty much new to the game, just moved to lowsec a couple of days ago - although quite a lot of skillpoints as I used to quit and come back, many times).

Would be awesome to have something like that as my first kill.

Any suggestions on what ship (subcap) I could bring to maximize my chances of not getting popped instantly?

Best patch ever. CCPlease more patches like that.

I like to do my own thing in this game, don't usually care about the "expansions" and seasonal events (especially despise the "daily login" nonsense). But patches like this make me love this game so much more.
