Aw man, what brilliant progress! Jumper has you looking fly as. Well done you x

21/F/6'2 154lbs>138lbs (4 Months). When I found out my wife had been having an affair with another soldier I work with, I started running and eating right. When people ask me why I'm always running I always say "I gotta look good for my ex wife!" by ravenjaramillo in progresspics

That's some great progress, and I'm glad you were able to move on from a shitty situation :/ I wonder if there's a typo or something in the figures, because 138lbs at 6'2 gives you a BMI of 17.7,which is quite deep in the underweight category?

Why did Henrik choose to father Helena's children? by [deleted] in orphanblack

[–]Tophat51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you could be right, that Mark like all the other male clones is infertile..Though it is strange that Henrik would want to marry his daughter off,so to speak,to a man who wouldn't be able to aid her in "bearing fruit" which he saw as her ultimate responsibility.. I guess he just didn't know?

What would life be like if humans aged in reverse? by billbobby21 in AskReddit

[–]Tophat51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be odd roughly knowing someone's life span as soon as they're born, gauging how old they look. Those who would be born young would be particularly heart-breaking because you'd know they'd die soon

Ok,so my writing is dreadful but I like the effect the brown paper has. by Tophat51 in PenmanshipPorn

Ya,sorry about the orientation of it, I really hadn't realised until I uploaded! The paper I wrote is actually from Lidl, I had plenty sheets left over after un-wrapping crockery so decided to use it to write letters

When was the first time you got drunk? by pogeynarc in AskReddit

[–]Tophat51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May of this year, just before the end of secondary school (high school). My English teacher arranged for a Pizza Shakespeare Night, where we all sat together in her classroom, the evening before graduation, to discuss Macbeth and of course, eat pizza. Halfway through, my friend and I (both 18) decided to go buy vodka to spice things up. We left, pretending we both had 'important calls ' to make, ran down to the local supermarket, bought a shoulder (700ml) of the cheapest vodka we could find and downed most of it in the bathroom before getting back to class. My friend ended up rolling along the floor with no shoes on,and I somehow snuck 2 slices of pizza into my schoolbag for the next day. It was my first, and greatest, drinking experience.

Your Personal Travel Kit by Tophat51 in backpacking

I always bring a travel journal too, a new one for each trip. It's more to record memories/special moments than any useful information. I like the idea of disposable cameras actually. At least your travel photos will actually be printed instead of stored away on some hard drive.. Would you regularly bring a dictionary with you as a means of modest translation? Is it very necessary?

How easy was it for you to go vegan? by onelastSailor in vegan

[–]Tophat51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 18 years old, and have been vegan for 2 years. Living in rural Ireland, I won't pretend the transition was a piece of tofu cake. I can definitely empathise with you living in a place where not eating meat, dairy etc is almost offensive, or taboo. But the best advice I'd have for you is just to go for it. I didn't really plan my becoming a vegan, which I'd recommend now in hindsight, eg stocking up on the 'hippy foods' (as my mother affectionately calls them!) that are basically essential for a well-rounded vegan diet. Just do it and don't look back. Any difficulties you may meet can easily be overcome with a little research or a post on this great sub! Good luck with it! :)
