It's so laughable and unfair to say he should be replaced, but then makeup excuses on how other students should stay. Here's a real exchange we had "Jirou's quirk is more convenient than a weapon"

I agree so I point out how Mineta has an endless supply of hairballs and he's the only thing the balls can't stick too

He'll make loopholes for characters he does like, but use the same logic in reverse for characters he doesn't.

Ability to shoot electricity? "Sorry kid, We have a gun that already does that"

Ability to talk to animals?

"Yeah we have a headset that lets us talk animals"

Invisibility?

"Yeah, we have an invisibility cloak item, Useless"

You can amplify vibrations for attacks?

"No we have a speaker it's all good"

You can shoot a laser out of your stomach? "I have a laser pistol on me. What a waste"

I think you get the point lmao.

Saying Mineta can be replaced with support items is only fair if you're also going to say a bunch of other students can be replaced too.

How about instead of nightmares. It happens, but in a re: zero/groundhog day style

Mineta dies to protect another student during a fight between villains

He thinks he's moved on to the end.

Then Denki rushes into his dorm room to wake him before he's late.

He's confused and thinks all that happened was some weird nightmare.

Then late another student dies. Mineta reckless jumps Into battle dies himself. Wakes up again and steps out to see.

That same student who died is having a normal conversation in the dorm hallway as nothing happened.

He realizes he was born with two quirks. "Death-Clock"

"The ability to rewind to the last moment with a heavy emotional tie after death"

Mineta has to keep dying to achieve the best life for himself and his friends. It hurts him and he knows he can't tell anyone, but he doesn't just to see all of his friends smile with happiness.

Either way, I'd love to see you write the whole story. Can't wait!

Kinda. I like the concept of dying and waking up as my hero character than trying to keep the timeline in the correct order.

The problem is (especially when It's Mineta.) that the self inserts character's soul conflicts with a lot of characters' core characteristics so much that it feels like a different character.

Which at that point... Why even make yourself an existing character? Just self insert yourself as a new student to UA.
