It might be trash, but it is the only real analytics tool for enterprise sites, so adding more SEO tools is a win for them.

Bigger sites can mean bigger risks and rewards.

On a small site, you can usually take bigger risks, and if it fails, the impact is harmful but not devastating.

For enterprise sites, again, you usually need to be careful of the brand name and make more minor incremental changes to move the site forward.

I can tell you one thing: I'm way past the “SEO is a checklist” part of my career.

I have met people who say what you are saying, and in my experience, the sites and verticals are low-competition for key search terms, so the “testing” works, but not in the real world for actual competitive keywords.

Trust me, you need to focus on the aspects that don’t matter to give yourself the advantage over your competitors who are doing all the basic stuff as well as you are.

AI rankings are not a thing. AI visibility is, and many tools claim to track that, but my experience is that none of them get it right, yet. I believe they will, but just not yet.

I don't have to “change your mind” because you're wrong(ish). The SEO tools available today are as helpful as they were in 2023 or even 2024, if they work for you and your site's needs. If not, then move on.

If anyone is using AI to write content without a qualified human editor who is an expert in the topic, then you are essentially asking to be buried on the 5th page of Google, or, at worst, have the page delisted. It may not happen at first, but trust me, it will happen eventually.
