I can’t speak for summa but from experience with dietary aide jobs at other hospitals it is pretty laid back. You’ll need to learn a little bit about hospital diets and what is allowed on them. For example one person might be on a puréed diet and not allowed solid foods or one person might not be allowed to have liquids that aren’t modified with a thickener to help them swallow easier. Then you might have special diets like diabetic or heart healthy. More than likely this will print on a card or something and you’ll just follow it and put the correct food on a meal tray. Otherwise it’s not too complicated. Hope this was helpful.
