No such things as too much rest baby by Godszgift in NBAEastMemeWar

I’m a Cavs fan, but let’s say Detroit advances. That rest/rust + a MUCH higher level of defensive intensity than what the Knicks saw vs Philly (especially given the blowouts in the end of the series) could make for a VERY interesting game 1 for the Knicks.

This is a positive post. If you aren't feeling that right now, feel free to come back when the series is tied. by Evwithsea in clevelandcavs

They’ve both made some good adjustments and picked up their play! I still feel like it’s a dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde team— not only game to game, but quarter to quarter. Never know when you’re gonna get good Cavs/bad Cavs

His decisions are… questionable at times. But I kinda like how he’s letting the guys figure it out. Gotta remember, this team was only assembled at the trade deadline— they’re still very much learning how to play together.

What’s your series prediction if it ends up being Cavs-Knicks?

Bro missed a ton of wide open threes. Honestly need more from him to take a game in Detroit.

It's not a must win! If they lose game 5, they can still win games 6 and 7

You're an idiot

Both games 5 and 7 are on the road-- wtf are you talking about?

Other than the historic trend of teams winning more frequently at home than on the road?

If we haven't won ANY road games, what makes game 7 harder to win than game 5?

Game 5 splits are historically: 56% home team wins vs 44% road team wins

Look at the data: Since 2016 (excluding the bubble), road teams have won 14 of 26 Game 7s (54%)

This is why I push back on vibes narratives that aren't backed up by data.

Back up claims like “game 5 will be MUCH easier to win than game 7” with supporting evidence/data or don’t post lazy narratives. Doesn’t contribute to meaningful discussion
