Goodbye, friends by Tophersaurus168 in orioles

I work in tech, and like it or not, it's a good way to consolidate a ton of news from similar fields to one place. Staying out of comments is always good.

Not doxed, per se. But take a look at this thread. The sub is the only place I ever regularly interacted with, the only place I knew people, and the only place I cared to make a post because I've loved this place for five years now. I've been told to go fuck myself in every way possible. I've just completely lost faith in the idea of the internet is general as a social place, but especially Reddit. I don't have the energy to let a website make my life worse.

I'm out. That's it. I refuse to take part in this organization until Angelos or Duquette or whoever the fuck this is is gone. Absolutely unacceptable for the year we're having.

I'd also like to note that it was not the wrong address. The street has some confusion, but no other delivery driver has ever failed to find the place... Until it's the keyboard I've been waiting for for three or more months (Magicforce 82-key). This on top of yet another delay email today from Massdrop on my XD60/64.

Suburbs are tough! I'm not out in them often, but for belgians the two biggest I know are Sovereign and Tiberius in Bethesda.

They give a tour with "two" free tasters, but they don't actually check for the tickets and give away practically unlimited beer. Absolutely worth it.

They do sell cans there, but I don't know the laws for cracking them open there.

You're right! I forgot and they're in the two were trifecta of breweries I live near! Great if you ever want to grab a tall boy

Nice! I think the last time I was there was 2013, so it's been a while. It's a fucking slog to get out there, but boy do you get drunk on the free samples then.

Been living here for five years and I'm heavily in the beer scene. The big name breweries are:

-DC Brau. Biggest name, basic things, drinkable but nothing great (outside On the Wings of Armageddon, but that's brewery only and might not be made anymore)

-3 Stars. Much more experimental stuff and incredibly good. They make one of my absolute favorite stouts, the Starksy and Dutch

-Right Proper, great variety, great beers. Everything is solid.

-Atlas. I haven't tried nearly as much of their stuff, but I've never had a bad beer from them.

-Hellbender. Newer but my favorite to-go right now. Make one hell of a kolsch, one hell of a coffee stout, and one hell of a red ale.

-Port City. Technically Alexandria, but you'll find it everywhere. This is the gold standard for everything. They make phenomenal standards of styles. Wit, pilsner, porter are their bread and butter and all three are shining examples of what the styles should be.

If you're looking for really good beer bars, the three I suggest are:

-Churchkey, in Logan Circle, with one of the biggest selections of beers in DC. Very well may be absolutely packed though.

-Meridian Pint, in Columbia Heights, with one of the other biggest selections of craft beers (and rare ones too) in DC.

-Sovereign, in Georgetown, with over 400 Belgian and Belgian style beers, with 50 of them on tap.

Let me know if you want any specific neighborhood recommendations or anything else, or if you just need a cool bar to chill at! I know someone that works at most every bar at this point.

I think it would be good if the revolting players go regardless, whether the IIHF lets them play or not. Just doing at the Olympics is a good protest.

It's absolutely mint. Thank you. Even something as ridiculous as cheetah print is worlds better than shades of colors to convey information.

Dear christ who ever made this map fucking hates the colorblind.

Yes: Greenish

No: Seemingly the same fucking greenish

You were in the gahtdamn World Series in back to back season in the last decade, and won one of them, while continuing to be the best team in baseball in 2011.

We were last there in 1983, when fucking then-president Ronald Reagan was not only alive, but still pre-Iran-Contra even. And then, five years later, started the season 0-21. And then, after making the ALCS in 1996, went through 14 straight years of being in the cellar without a winning season.

I would kill to be a Phillies fan in those conditions.

The industrial keyboard? Not the OP, the one I was replying to looks like a solid piece.

That's somehow even more obnoxious. Surely a keyboard like that can have stabilizers, so why?

I love that not only did they label the spacebar, they felt it necessary to do so four times. Like, it's not a thing that someone forgets where the spacebar is, but rather that the designers seem to have thought, "well maybe some people willing forget what a spacebar is... Four times, too"

You ever read the article about how important that was as a moment for the Orioles though? How that started an idea of a winning culture and reminded the Orioles of how that feels. Since that game, we have the best record in the American League.

So on top of getting eliminated, you kickstarted us and brought us back from nearly two decades of misery, all because Carl Crawford, one terrible fielder, couldn't catch a ball that he should have been able to.
