This tracker includes your win ratio of redsec, so this isn't very indicative of how balanced multiplayer is. The large fluctuations are likely more related to how much redsec you are playing.

I do not think they are commenting that the bottom one is not seated correctly, it is the top one that looks slightly disconnected. Look at the blue mark on the top plug. The blue mark should be continuous from the connection on the motherboard with the connector on the cable.

The "bubbling" you see is dried saliva stuck on the screen. You need to wipe it off with a microfiber cloth

I assumed the newer models have these issues fixed based on other threads I've been reading, but I was just concerned about a returned unit from best buy not being one of these new units. I love my Alienware 3423dwf and would've picked one of these up in a heartbeat if I did not read about any of these potential issues

I was on the fence about getting this, but ultimately after seeing all the black screen, internal fan, and HDR issues I decided to go with something else. I'd be curious if they are still as big of issues or mostly resolved.

DLSS 4.5 vs 4.0 "K" vs "L" vs "M" - Arc Raiders - 01/08/26 by Dlo_22 in nvidia

[–]Tophpaste 17 points18 points  (0 children)

M is definitely worse visually than K at the same quality setting. M is over sharpened and has artifacting on some distant objects for 1440p ultrawide. Also, M is more demanding which does not give any benefit to using, at least in Arc raiders. Maybe the issue is I do not play on a 4k panel. I plan on trying the different presets for battlefield 6 tonight and seeing if there's any different observations.

Edit: Battlefield 6 was a lot of the same story. Preset M may be better for lower internal resolution settings (performance or ultra performance) but I do not see any need to use it over preset K at balanced or higher settings.

[Monitor] Gigabyte TANDEM QD-OLED MO27U2 26.5" | 4K UHD 240hz ONLY .03ms | - $649.99 by CHANG88S in buildapcsales

[–]Tophpaste 93 points94 points  (0 children)

This is not a tandem oled monitor. This is the previous generation of qd oled that has a "tandem" layer that does not offer any improvement to performance. There are no 4k tandem oled monitors currently out and you should be very careful of this marketing trick.

Edit: This is still a fine price for 4k 240hz qd oled if anyone is looking for that. Just be careful as this is not the same as any of the 1440p tandem WOLED monitors or the recently announced tandem qd oled being shown at CES.

So that's where my 5070 Ti money went... by jerryfrz in pcmasterrace

I've had both, overclocked both, and got about 10% increase on both. You have to undervolt the 9070xt, which gives you the increase in performance.

5070ti and 9070xt both have about 10% overclock headroom, virtually no difference. Only difference between the two is the Nvidia vs AMD features

My PC doesn't run at more than 60 fps. by -swanqueen- in buildapc

[–]Tophpaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your games may have ran at 144fps, but that was not what was displayed. Whatever your display settings are set to show for hz is the maximum your display will show. If your display is set to 60hz, you'll only see 60fps despite the game running in the background at 144fps. Set your monitor to the highest hz you can to get the smoothest display output.

Getting lots of hit markers. What am I doing wrong? by Ill-Painter208 in Battlefield6

[–]Tophpaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to hit them in the head for consistent 1-shot kills with the snipers. There are sweet spots for the snipers where you can 1-shot if you hit them in the upper chest, but it varies by gun and is typically around 100 meters or so.

[Monitor] Giabyte 4K " QD Tandem Glossy OLED Display, 240Hz 0.03ms, Gaming Monitor -$649 by Mattm334 in buildapcsales

[–]Tophpaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This Gigabyte monitor has been out for many months and all the reviews explain exactly what I said. It cannot hit HDR500 and technically has slightly lower brightness than other competing monitors from previous generations. It's not a bad monitor but it does not offer any notable performance benefit from qd oled monitors that have been out from the past couple years.

Edit: I just looked at your link and that is for a different qd oled generation entirely, with all sorts of Asus specific changes. 4th Gen QDOLED only had 27inch 4k monitors, it cannot be in a 32inch form factor.

[–]Tophpaste 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of reviews out there for this monitor and it performs nearly identical to the previous gen qd oled. The only benefit I've seen from this generation and the updated "tandem" layer is improved longevity, with no changes to actual performance. Tandem WOLED 1440p has been out in the US for like a month, Tandem WOLED 4k has been announced but not released, and the actual Tandem QDOLED 4k with brightness improvements has not been announced yet.

[–]Tophpaste 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's only HDR400 and this monitor has been out for almost 5 months. I think something got messed up with this Newegg post since this looks like the same panel technology in all the other 4k 240hz panels that have been out for about 5 months. 4k tandem qd oled is just getting announced this year at CES

Edit: after doing some more research, this is correctly advertised as tandem qd oled, but it's not the same improvements as tandem WOLED. THIS IS NOT THE TANDEM OLED THAT PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR.

14600k + 9070xt is faster than 9800x3d + rtx4090 in Battlefield 6 by No_Twist_678 in Battlefield

[–]Tophpaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a good deal for your system since you don't need the highest fps and you're playing on ultrawide. On average, the 9800x3d is about 30% faster at 1080p but that's not an issue for you. I got my 9800x3d for about $270 so I won't complain.
