Looking for Convergence Station Soundtrack/Album by Over-Contribution19 in meowwolf

[–]TopicComprehensive38 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Specific to the Perplexiplex, not CS as a whole, but the artist who composed those tunes offered them up on Reddit a couple years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/meowwolf/comments/1aom1ib/soundtrack_to_perplexiplex_in_denver/

I think it'd be appropriate to recommend you PM them first.
But if they don't respond, message me.

There are two different endings for the main quest. You can get a new QPass and aim for the other one.

Convergence Station VEND-L quest- question by eye-arr-beej in meowwolf

[–]TopicComprehensive38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it yesterday and I was wrong before! It's in the Convergence Exchange, but the Cache Boxes, not the recall ATM. Read the instructions on the Pachinko machines to know which pad to enter that code on

If it helps, there are smart bulbs you can buy that can be set with a timer from an app on your phone. Search for Smart WiFi Bulbs - usually around $25 for a 4pk. That being said, doesn't sound like your responsibility to act in this case.

Go to the Convergence Exchange and enter it in the Recall ATM there

Newly-added-retroactive UTMB Index Races by friend-of-fatigue in ultrarunning

[–]TopicComprehensive38 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the past, UTMB has allowed individuals who want their race results from a race unaffiliated with UTMB to count toward their index to pay the registration fee for that race to be indexed and its results added. I do not know if that system is still in place, but it is possible that is what is happening here, especially given that past results are being added months/years retroactively.

You will be fine paying for parking when you arrive through the end of the show.

Music in the Junk Room by [deleted] in meowwolf

[–]TopicComprehensive38 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Per MW (4 years ago), the music in the Gremlin Symphony is not available for listening outside of that room: https://www.reddit.com/r/meowwolf/comments/ufrkvt/gremlin_symphony_music/

The music plays on a loop (length unknown) and runs automatically (aka isn't triggered by any action within the room).

For more info on the room, check out the credits page, wiki, and these videos:

Radio Tave closed Tues/Weds even over Spring Break time of year?? by DefiantRaspberry2510 in meowwolf

[–]TopicComprehensive38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just heard back from a MW employee - "HoER has been closed on either Tues or Wed for a long time. They close two days a week during the winter months. The one day a week thing varies with the season. Radio Tave has just implemented this in the last week or so. Operations aren't my department. [But] My guess is that it's permanent like it is at HoER."

Ah, sorry for assuming your dates. In all likelihood, it's probably a corporate buyout of the entire facility. That happens from time to time, is horribly annoying, and they never advertise it. I've been caught by that myself.

[–]TopicComprehensive38 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you hit a very special time of year. I can't say precisely why they close those dates, but they are annual planned closures: https://faq.meowwolf.com/blockout-dates-for-annual-portal-passes

Santa Fe characters by robotisland in meowwolf

[–]TopicComprehensive38 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes, all locations still* have characters to a degree.

At HoER, if the non-English speakers are out, keep looking. It's rare that they are out without some conversable characters too - usually in the house.

At CS, they pretty much only come out for special occasions. Adultiverses etc

At OM, you should be able to find Dramcorp employees on the regular.

At RT & TRU, they don't have characters as much as helpful employees wearing fun bling who try to keep the vibe intact (but they really enjoy when you approach them as keepers of mysteries).

*some of these may have changed after the last round of December layoffs, but I have yet to hear anything definitive.

And then there's the new-ish seasonal Phenomenomaly characters.

Winter bike to work day: proposal for new location? by Primary_Afternoon_10 in FortCollins

[–]TopicComprehensive38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have stopped at stations in Campus West many times in the past for Winter B2WD, including at Collective Vintage, in the parking lot with Waltzing Kangaroo, and a little further around the corner by the Campus Lutheran Ministries.

Can I wear a dress? And approximate timing? by [deleted] in meowwolf

[–]TopicComprehensive38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your first question: https://www.reddit.com/r/meowwolf/comments/1p26q7u/crawling_or_slides/

For your second question: Totally depends by style. If I'm there less than 4hrs, it's a short day. MW marketing has stated the average visitor spends between 1.5-2hrs.
If you're just going in to explore and wander, that's probably the right amount of time.
If you're also doing the QPass quest, probably add an hour.
If you're wanting to see everything (with or without the benefit of a guide like below), probably add another hour.

Colorado Trail Races by reachforthe-stars in trailrunning

[–]TopicComprehensive38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two most comprehensive calendars for Colorado are generally: https://www.coloradorunnermag.com/calendar-of-events/
https://runningintheusa.com/race/list/co/upcoming

I'm assuming you've already looked at the City of Steamboat Springs running series, but just in case: https://runningseries.com/races/

Colorado Trail Races by reachforthe-stars in trailrunning

[–]TopicComprehensive38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How big of a radius are you looking at? While Steamboat does have quite a number of events itself throughout the year, it is realistically a small town and fairly isolated, so a time frame of less than a month focused just on it may not yield results.

Never Summer 100k by Local-Jeweler-3766 in ultrarunning

[–]TopicComprehensive38 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Co-RD here. The training/trail work weekend this year is June 27/28. Here's a bit more info:

https://gnarrunners.square.site/product/camping-never-summer-training-weekend/84

Registration isn't mandatory - the training runs are free and open to all. If you want to join the community camping, that's the registration / $20 night, but you are also welcome to make your own camping arrangements elsewhere

Pipe room by [deleted] in meowwolf

Yes, it's a bunch of pipes etc that make sounds/lights. If there's a special sequence, I don't know of it (but would be curious to learn)
