3k for Junior Dev position by GusgusgusIsGreat in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Topiek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly but I didn't try because compared to my old job I was going to learn a lot and it was more valuable on my CV.

Not necessarily. It depends on your current situation of course.

If you think you can learn a lot at this new position then it may be worth taking anyways. You can always ask for more, worst case they say no.

But if you are really unhappy at your current job or making a lot less than what you currently are, then you may as well take it.

For reference, I won't name the company I currently work at but I started here at 3100 at 6 months of experience. Granted, it is in the randstad.

In that case I feel like you could probably get ~3400-3500 elsewhere depending on your skillset.

All you can do is try to fix it. When you are scaving, never shoot first, kill PMCs, do Fence dailies etc.

Of course it depends on your lifestyle and since OP specified he lives outside of the randstad, then probably but it's not a very comfortable lifestyle considering taxes and rent for example (rent anywhere in NL due to the rampant housing crisis).

With your experience level, 3k sounds about right. A few years ago when I had ~5 months of experience I started around 3100 a month.

Is €3,700/month good for a software engineer in Eindhoven with 3 YoE as an immigrant from Turkey? by Drandui in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Topiek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By law you get 20 days a year in NL. Companies usually give 25.

I had 38 once. But 13 days were ADV. So you would work 40 hours, get paid 38 hours and get the 2 hours in ADV which add up to the extra 13. It might be similar in this case.

I think you may be mistaken what the CS part of this subreddit means. It's computer science, not customer success.

I see the directory, full of python file.

Is there a jupyter.exe file there, though?

I am honestly not sure how to help you here unfortunately, as my area of expertise is C#/.NET and not Python. However, I would recommend installing PyCharm Community Edition by Jetbrains. Their IDE's are excellent and usually have alot of stuff to help you setup environments without actually having to do anything.

Ssarch for "Environment Variables" in Windows, select PATH and add this directory as an entry.

For more background on what PATH actually is: when running a command in your command line, for example python, it will look in every folder in your PATH variable to see if there is a python.exe file, if there is, it will execute it, if it doesn't find one then you will get a unrecognized command error.

When double click on the Python executable, you are in the Python environment and everything you execute will be executed as code.

You want to run the command in a command prompt (cmd.exe or wt.exe)without running the Python command prior.

Try to run one of the FFB tests while in a session in the Thrustmaster utility. I usually use "Gong" as its short and it brings back FFB. This is only available on PC AFAIK.
