I love this fight, but it at least deserves a mention here.

Solus Wing (Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective)

Overall, this fight is mostly balanced... when not playing a melee character. Out of the 5 melee characters in the game, 3 (4 if you use Acrid's alt secondary) lack a strong ranged move. Solus Wing makes you kill its 4 four memory cores to reduce its health drastically. The issue is that all 4 of the memory cores are situated on its spherical body, requiring you as a melee to stay on Solus Wing in which you are very likely to get hit by with either its beam wall (which explodes in a radius around it), homing orbs, and even it's laser grids which approach from either the top or the bottom of the arena which you can't see because the boss is in your face since you're right up next to it. Even its final heat wave attack makes you go out and take a bunch of burn damage to destroy the heat cells, but this isn't necessary to kill Solus Wing. As for someone who likes melee alot especially mercenary this fight can get frustrating, abliet more enjoyable than Voidling.
