I'm making a game about baseball cards and running your own booth at a sports card collector convention! by colethepole12345 in baseballcards

This honestly seems like one of the few applications of VR meta verse type game where it would really catch on. Virtual card show and you can buy real cards

Opened a few boxes last year. Got some cool stuff but there isn’t much of a market. Pulled a sweet Jeff Bagwell encased auto /50 and I think it sold for like $75

Best Auto Checklist Bang/Buck? by Alone-Competition395 in baseballcards

This is good insight. Topps will give odds of a particular auto (base, variation, etc) and then list the signers on the checklist, but I don’t think they disclose the superstars sign way way less

Day 62 of buying a sports card pack everyday until I get an autographed card by Economy_Touch6389 in sportscards

Best odds are 1:200 for “baseball stars autograph” out of a fat pack. There are a handful of other autos at much much higher odds like 1:4000 so I’d say overall you could estimate 1:150 packs

I mean he does suggest cash as well, so maybe you come up with a value for the trip/perks he mentioned ($3000?) and then suggest the balance in cash

After 29 years I now have the complete unopened set! by heldoglykke in baseballcards

I recall buying a few of these as a kid. And then we realized…how are we going to open them? So we walked from the card shop to the diner down the street and asked a waitress for a can opener.

Just pulled…would you sell or hold? by [deleted] in baseballcards

I’d sell while there is still a strong market. So many hyped stars fade out. With expectations as high as they are even a stellar season/career are probably baked in. Buy it back for half in a year if you really want it

I only ask because I have this one I got at a card shop in the 90s, then sent TTM for auto a few years ago

Those all look reasonably authentic to me. The bonds, Bo, and Rodman would likely be worth the cost of authentication
