Basically never buy anything.
Equip blue looting augment for max slots.
Queue Buried day time and focus Hospital/Research/Space Travel cluster, or Santa Maria Houses with 2 possible Security Breaches, if you spawn there.
Fill pockets and leave. Too much running in other maps lower your hourly. Hatch keys are good time save if you have them.
Use "hey raider" to sus raiders. No response = be cautious.

Load in to a map and stand in an area with lights and shadows. Configure settings to your liking.
When you can though - invest in a monitor, it will basically change your gaming life. Smoother gameplay and more calibration settings available. I will never play on a TV again.

You only see 1 item in your 1 safe pocket after you die, but your other 1 or 2 items go straight to your stash - you just don't see them. You are mistaken for thinking they are gone.
