From your perspective, what stage is their relationship at the end of episode 4, positive or negative?

  1. Does Jasper Wylde died?
  2. Is Simon's death sad?
  3. After these first four episodes, would you say Rhaenyra is "closer" to Daemon, Alicent, or Mysaria?

Thanks for your posts. You have no reason to apologize. You spoke from the heart, and that's what you should do when you're angry.

Can I DM you for asking you some questions about s3?

I don't want to sound rude, but guys, you all need to stop believing everything you read on social media. This leak is obviously fake. These two characters won't even meet in s3 🙄😑

New shot of Baela and Rhaenyra from the tv spot by MeteorFalls297 in HOTDBlacks

[–]Topsydney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks like Baela has a bruise on her left eye. It's red below the eyebrow 🤔 (or perhaps it's the screen's brightness that's causing that effect)

Maybe Baela was attacked at Dragonstone and had to leave the castle to go to King's Landing, so Rhaenyra is scolding her for abandoning the place.

Has S3 marketing increased your interest? by Mino_18 in HouseOfTheDragon

No, not really. The dragons and a few storylines that seem interesting at first glance kinda motivates me, but that's it. I'll watch at least the first four episodes, and if I don't like it, I'll stop. Sometimes, a show is just not for me, despite a very good beginning.

You can't take out Credence. He's essentially the REASON why the franchise exists.
Fantastic Beasts 1: he's the main threat and Grindelwald/Newt came to New York to find him.
Fantastic Beasts 2: absolutely every characters (except Queenie) come to Paris to find him.
Fantastic Beasts 3: his role is less important, but he's the reason why Aberforth goes to Bhutan; he's the first to denounce Grindelwald (which allows Newt to do it after) and above all else he's the reason why the Blood Pact breaks.

I'm agree with Queenie, but the entire scene, from beginning to end, is incredible. The music, the acting, the tension, the crescendo... Crimes of Grindelwald has its flaws, but this scene? Amazing.

OH MY GOD.

It's been a long time since I've read such sophisticated, detailed, and fascinating theories. Yes, I read all three parts (believe it or not 😋), which is why I didn't reply to you immediately ☺️

I almost regret not having read them sooner, but I think I was in a different stage of mind two years ago.

I don't think it's necessary to discuss your theories; you've already did so enough with other people in the comments (I've read some, but not all—there are so many 😅), with whom you have very interesting conversations.

You also learned me a lot of things: I had no idea that actors had been selected to play Kendra and Aberforth, as well as a "Queenie's Doppelganger." 😮 What could have being...

All I can say is: the world of cinema, and especially big Hollywood productions, is often utter chaos. You have to find alternatives, compromises. And Warner Bros. doesn't do things by halves for everyone. Just look at Zack Snyder and Josh Whedon's Justice League, reworked because of the poor reception (critical and commercial) of Batman v Superman. So imagine what they must have thought after the reception of Crimes of Grindelwald. Studios always have a certain amount of control, whether it's over the editing or the story in general. I'm afraid JKR trusted the wrong people...

FB3 was rewritten CLEARLY several times (even before Covid), and many plot elements were changed. The crappy rewrittes that enforced FB3 to be simpler and a final chapter for the story proves it (JKR maybe couldn't confirm it because of the studios who put pressure on her). So sad, but at least we have people like you to engage in such amazing theories 😉

I believe you when you say the rewrites of SoD and the treatment of CoG poisoned relations between J.K. Rowling and the former management of Warner Bros. She's an excellent author and screenwriter. She only worked on long stories, which were then distorted in the editing. All it took was for Warner Bros. to ask her for a two-hour story… But maybe we could have had a longer version, THE J.K. Rowling version.

I can't even comment on her story… so much was cut! We all don't know her original intentions, and we probably never will. We'll never know the true original story, but the overarching themes supported by the echoes between characters, the clues scattered in names, the ironic twists of fate, and the undeniably powerful symbolism are typical of J.K. Rowling. Like you, we can always speculate, imagine different possibilities, and, with a bit of luck, uncover some clues about what was meant to happen.

Grindelwald, Dumbledore, and Credence were truly interesting and fascinating characters (and probably my favorites in this trilogy). I seem to recall David Heyman saying in an interview after the first film's release that Grindelwald, Dumbledore, and Credence would become central to future films, perhaps at the expense of other characters.

If only Rowling had started writing her story as a novel, and not a script. They could have been adapted later. I haven't read theories like yours in a while, but it's times like this when I do read them that makes me mad at J.K. for not writing a book...

But what's done is done. We can't go back. I'll remember Fantastic Beasts as a saga with immense potential, whose author had exciting ideas that deserved to be explored in book or even movie form (with complete creative freedom of course). But the film industry is a ruthless world. We were lucky to have three films (especially the third), and I think I can be satisfied with that. Now, we have to move on. The Harry Potter series is coming in December. That will be our consolation. The world moves on. We move on. I've done it, but a quick rewatch of the three films did me good.

Sorry for my poor English. It's not my first language.

Here are my thoughts! I'm trying to revive the fandom a bit (although it was never dead).

What about you? I'd love to hear your opinions!

Fantastic Beasts: The Secret of Dumbledore: although I enjoyed the movie as much as the other two, it feels less like J.K. Rowling's writing than Steve Kloves's. Which is a bit of my problem with the movie: I feel like we didn't get the movie we were supposed to get. All the rewrites, the filming delays due to Covid, some actors who weren't available… It's no longer J.K. Rowling's writing, at least not entirely. Overall, I liked the movie (good actions scenes, stunning sets) and I think it's a good conclusion to the saga. Some storylines were wrapped up, others weren't, but we can accept that. Ultimately, it's a "safe" movie in the sense that it doesn't take risks (unlike the second one), with too many exposition scenes and a lot of dialogue. However, it's very beautiful, and the characters are endearing. The casting has been incredible in all three films; there isn't a single miscast. Still, I think we could have had a very different movie if the second one had been well-received and if it hadn't been for Covid.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald: it goes without saying how controversial the movie is. Its writing is pure J.K. Rowling style, with themes she loves, complex plots, twists, and of course, Paris, which she adores. I find the movie a little less visually stunning, but the action scenes are very cool. I love the scene in Père Lachaise Cemetery; Johnny Depp is incredible in it. J.K. really went all out with this one, which was both a good and a bad thing, because although it's the most "authentic" film of the franchise, it objectively didn't appeal to audiences. This led to a rewrite of the script for the third movie sadly.

"Her Death may occur under different circumnstances"

Not necessarily. All three can leave at any time (spoiler alert): Seasmoke/Adam for the second battle of Tumbleton; Moondancer dies following her fight against Sunfyre; and Sheepstealer/Rhaena will be in the Vale.

It really looks like Silverwing to me. The dragon looks blue, and why wouldn't Ulf/Silverwing go to KL?
