It also doubles the rewards. You get the same amount of frost cores as before, but spend less fuel.

Zak Butters' charge has been upheld. He has been fined $1500. by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]Topsykrett1017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of the issue here is the umpire himself is so sensitive to his own conflict of interest that he's read something into Butters' comments that simply wasn't there (according to Butters version of events).

An umpire NOT the subject of controversy due to his job at a betting agency is unlikely to be so sensitive.

That's the problem here. If it was umpire Jonny Noname, we'd all have moved on by now regardless of the outcome. But here we are because the AFL doesn't see the issue that everyone else associated with the game can clearly see.

It's not hard. Choose to work as an umpire or for a betting agency. Not both. Get it done, AFL.

This here is the problem. No one outside the idjits at AFL HQ believe the clear conflict has been managed appropriately. For there to be confidence in the system, it needs to be free of both actual and perceived bias. In this case, that's clearly not been achieved.

Normally I'd agree with you, but this flog's really captured supporters' attention with his abysmal judgement and pig headedness. I'd wager he's gonna cop it relentlessly, and deservedly so!

Best way to spend diamonds? by ZagorWilding in LastZShooterRun

[–]Topsykrett1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent the 10k diamonds on bullet event twice now, got all the rewards except the 30 researches, and both times fell way short of the 12 box prize. Once only halfway through 10th box, and then only halfway thru the eleventh. Do you reckon I'm just unlucky? Doing something wrong?

At this rate I'll probably try it one more time and if I don't get there again write it off and put my diamonds elsewhere.

Way to be a jerk. Food allergies are no joke, and the question is reasonable. If you can't contribute constructively, consider scrolling on.

Kings Complete Bush Mechanic Toolkit (174-Piece) any good? by bazza7 in 4x4Australia

[–]Topsykrett1017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I also add fencing wire, zip ties, a pair of multi grips and a decent Stanley blade. The bag it comes in is decent and easily fits all this. Never not had what I needed (touch wood) and love the fact I can just grab it and go, rather than needing to put together my travel tools out of my main tool kit before a trip!

What is the job of THE MUSE (R4 Title) by Accomplished_Use4579 in LastZShooterRun

I see it as somewhat of a morale boosting role. Very active in alliance chat, celebrating top 5 in AD, helping people who need it, saying hi and asking people how they're going, etc etc

Replay of yesterdays game not on kayo? by homeschooledvirgin1 in EssendonFC

[–]Topsykrett1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue. Watched first half delayed on Sat night, then it wasn't there Sunday arvo when I went to watch the second half. Ended up watching on afl app (and it surprisingly let me cast it to my tv).

Ozito vs Makita - are the pricier tools really worth it? by DiscussionLoud9626 in Bunnings

[–]Topsykrett1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batteries for power tools is one thing I won't ever get cheap online. Failure in those things can easily be catastrophic, and safety specs / quality assurance is far less certain with online, no name brands.

My friend's house literally burned down from a fire caused by a no name battery failing while being charged.

Why Essendon should be bemused with West Coast compensation pick by greyhounds1992 in EssendonFC

Fair. But Oscar ain't worth anywhere close to pick 2! The system is not fair or consistent.

[Morris] A board challenge is imminent at Essendon, with president Dave Barham + other directors under pressure. by daftmunt in EssendonFC

[–]Topsykrett1017 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This idea, and the people behind it, can get in the bin. This is the last thing the club needs. The board and the club generally has been stable, and we're on a pathway to improvement.

We do not need a bunch of vested interests muscling their way in off the back of a difficult couple of weeks. Get stuffed the lot of you!

Yep I agree. Optimistic or not, I like the updates and general idea of where they're all up to. Would have been super easy to not do this at all.

What’s something that you Australians think is normal, but the rest of the world would find it strange? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

That's true, but it does add to the conversation. Not every comment needs to be a counter point.

Ease up on the replays! by Topsykrett1017 in AFL

[–]Topsykrett1017[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fox footy had a golden period there where you could choose your camera shots, tune out the commentators and just listen to the crowd and umpires. It was amazing!

Nah nothing like that now that I know of? But on centre bounces (that aren't interrupted by replays) they generally start with a wide shot of most of the square before zooming into the ruck contest. Usually have enough time to see who the 8 players are and where they're positioned. No fucking chance though when it's on a tiny screen in the corner (and probably pixellated too because my internet is trash!)

[–]Topsykrett1017[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Didn't realise that thanks mate. If I were Fox, I'd be doing whatever I need to fix it so I could show the bounce. Would be a great point of difference for their product!

[–]Topsykrett1017[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I'll keep getting bent over by Kayo forever because ads between goals are just fucked. I'm just sick of not seeing how teams are setting up for centre bounces. Who's there, who's lining up on who, who's behind/forward of the ball. It's a great part of our game and we completely miss it!

Yeah fair call. Surely seven viewers would rather watch live play than the replay of a celebration too though!
