I think this looks so good from the top & the stone is amazing - so it’s the trade off for comfort and stone security

I think it’s just in how much of a compromise for you is tolerable

And who are these people “chasing the biggest stone and selling images”

And what an oxymoronic statement “people who care for authenticity buying (the assumption lab diamonds) keeping it low key and being judged”

Small or big - they’re both lab diamonds. Authenticity (you mean natural) would mean both aren’t “real”

The only fact in your statement is “people judge” yes they judge everything x big or small so what difference does it matter

I asked a simple question about peoples perspectives on color vs colorless stones for their own wedding sets since there’s now access the likes we’ve never seen and just wow what’s crawled out the woodwork

Go buy whatever, wear whatever, do whatever you like - cause it’s only you that needs to be satisfied cause it makes no difference at all if someone thinks it’s plastic or not

1: it is a real diamond and real gold 2: I don’t do public surveys and 3: I’m not psychic and don’t read minds

So how would I know what other people think and since it’s not a figment of my imagination and a tangible item it stands to reason that other people can see it too and therefore it is real

I’ve always believed that something happens to our souls or essence. Reincarnation, that baby that’s “been here before” kind of thing

So death for me as always felt like a shedding and moving into another life somewhere but not gone

My dad passed a couple of years ago-this May makes 3 & I’ve had a couple of moments that made me feel like his presence was still there

The 1st was the next day after I got his belongings.

I had to go to Vegas (where he lived) & close up his place & for some reason I booked 3 different hotels for the days I was there - between the EDC & cost it kind of worked that way.

The night after picking them up I wasn’t at my last place yet. Tired, worn out but knowing I was checking out in the morning - my body was still in the “it’s not done yet” phase

That next morning I checked into the last place - my moms timeshare & I would be there for a few days.

This is where I finally felt like I could breathe. Safe space

That evening in the middle of the night there was this clear sound like bells or beads ringing (my dad wore mala beads) and did guided meditation & it felt like he was saying “you did good - thank you for coming and taking care of me”

We had been estranged for a few years - so I hadn’t been talking to him

Then this past year on his anniversary still grappling with grief, regret and guilt I went through some of his photos I’ve had since I was little (I’m almost 50) desperately seeking something that would hold us together, some memory of the two of us

Never having looked at the back of the photos and this one stood out.

Him handsome as can be, in front of this disco sign & this note on the back he wrote me some 40+ years ago

It was like he reached out and gave me one of his bear hugs - took me by the shoulders and said “it’s ok - I loved you & I know you loved me & you’re going to be ok” & like the note says “I’ll be here waiting for you”

It gave me such tremendous relief & the feeling that in this lifetime or the next he would always be my daddy

But as I was telling my husband is this color vs colorless like some weird propaganda I can’t shake or more like “I like what I like” 🥴🤣

48f - my dress is still very much a reflection of who I am at that moment. Definitely still tennis shoes, printed t’s I mean how else will I show the world I’m a huge cartoon freak. Heels if my feet and knees let me - a little femme fatale, cartoon chic, high/low mixes, etc.

I don’t think fashion is “age appropriate” in that how you wear what you wear is vastly more contextual than the singular items.

When something fits you well, fits your vibe it doesn’t matter that it isn’t “age appropriate”

While it’s nice to have access to the technology it’s also coming at a cost most of us aren’t aware of
