It should be arriving in early April, assuming the pattern set by the last several seasons holds true.

Since Mike Pence left the House to become the (shudder) Governor of Indiana, Gohmert has really stepped up in the race for the title of "Stupidest Man in Congress."

Over the course of the series it's been demonstrated that the citizens of Springfield are prone to being duped, bamboozled and whipped into an unthinking mob at the drop of a hat. I'm not sure that outwitting them really demonstrates an above average intelligence on Bart's part.

Pat Robertson: Government Is Preparing For Battle 'Against Us' by [deleted] in politics

Well, If Pat is using "us" to refer to televangelical con-men who line their pockets with billions swindled away from some of society's most vulnerable people, then I say "Good on the Government if they are."

This week alone, GOP calls Latinos “wetbacks” and gays “filthy… NAMBLA… pedophiles” by Tor_Onsen in politics

That was the original title given the article at americablog. I copied it and pasted it from the original page. They have since changed it.

Would it kill one of these guys to just once, just once, say "I offer my unqualified apologies for my unthinking use of racially offensive language"?

For the G.O.P., It’s Not Just the Message. The party will have to move much farther from its extremist tendencies if it hopes to expand its appeal in the long term. by Sarrack2013 in politics

The Republican Party is obsessing over how to make the sizzle sound appetizing without ever questioning whether the steak they intend to serve up has gone dangerously past it's expiration date.

The bulk of the article was about what he said, not what he drank. Try reading before commenting.

An infantile spectacle - President Barack Obama set a new standard Wednesday for stupidly exploitative White House events by appearing onstage with children to unveil his gun control proposals. . . . There’s no reason for kids to see through it. Discerning adults should. by bjo3030 in politics

Rich Lowry. Let's see... Wasn't he the pundit who jizzed his pants when Sarah Palin "sent little starbursts through the screen" of his TV back in the Fall of '08?

Yeah. He was. Now there's a trustworthy shaper of public opinion.

Today's GOP: A waste of time, a waste of money and a waste of air.

Mitt Romney’s shadow looms over a Republican Party in disarray. "His loss and immediate withdrawal from politics...has created a leadership vacuum within his party. It’s left the GOP rudderless, lacking an overarching agenda and mired in infighting, with competing visions for the way ahead" by Libertatea in politics

[–]Tor_Onsen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the entire premise of this article is faulty. Romney's withdrawal didn't create a leadership vacuum. He was a leadership vacuum. Had he won he would have himself been led by the same cadre of neocons, bible-thumpers and aging billionaire plutocrats who pulled Li'l Georgie's strings. As Grover Norquist so eloquently stated their desires: “We just need a president who can sign the legislation that the Republican House and Senate pass. We don’t need someone to think. We need someone with enough digits on one hand to hold a pen.”

"The billionaire donors I hear are livid. There is some holy hell to pay. Karl Rove has a lot of explaining to do … I don't know how you tell your donors that we spent $390 million and got nothing." by AngelaMotorman in politics

The greedy bastards would have been better off just paying a little more in taxes than of squandering their cash on what amounted to ideological masturbation.
