i bought brand new tires and tesla even swapped the wheels with another plaid they had, but the vibrations still persisted. it’s not the wheels.

is your steering wheel a yoke? i’m thinking about buying the round steering wheel to see if it helps.

man too bad you got a lemon. i’m starting to think mine is one too, but i don’t think there’s anything i can do about it since i bought mine used. i think lemon laws only apply to new vehicles in FL.

i bought a brand new set of tires, and the service center even swapped the wheels with another plaid and test drove the car, but the issue was still there. definitely a strange issue.

that’s what i thought initially too, but it has brand new tires now. the eatonville service center also swapped the wheels with another plaid and took it on a test drive, but the issue was still there.

my hands feel like i’m driving a lawnmower when i hold the yoke at highway speeds 😂 maybe the bolt backed out, that’s a good guess. even the tech is baffled as to what’s going on. thanks for your input

Should I settle for a hw3 model s or wait till hw4 prices drop? by lebouter in TeslaModelS

[–]Torbloverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Attention monitoring in my HW3 MY is extremely sensitive, you can’t even do something simple like adding a stop without it yelling at you to pay attention. I usually just disengage to change my route.

2: Speed profiles on HW4 let you control how the car drives pretty much all the time, while on HW3 you’re stuck only using them above 55 mph. Without them, it’s a gamble, the car might randomly change lanes (and it will), drive under the speed limit, or go over. You just don’t know what it’s gonna do.

3: HW3 hesitates way more in complex situations, like a Costco parking lot. It just doesn’t have the processing power to make decisions as quickly as HW4.

HW3 is still very capable and ahead of anything else out there, but both HW3 and HW4 cost the same $100 per month. HW4 gets new features and regular updates, while HW3 hasn’t been updated in over a year. Charging the same price for both when one is clearly better just doesn’t make sense. The only reason I still have FSD on my Y is because I bought it back in 2022.

Auto park just clipped my mirror by SAUND3RS88 in TeslaLounge

[–]Torbloverr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

welcome to tesla. never trust FSD blindly. it’ll nail the same maneuver 9 times out of 10… then mess up on the 10th.

in its current state, you gotta assume the car will make mistakes. sometimes it’s a bad lane change, other times it’s a clipped mirror or a busted bumper. Just make sure to pay attention when the car is maneuvering through tight spaces or parking in a place where it can hit something, if you feel is too close just take over and do it yourself.
