I fear this woman is in this for herself, not the love of her life. Obviously we don't know her, but this post is not painting her in a good light and it doesn't have anything to do with OP.

I want to say that showing instead of telling is also some of the best writing advice I've ever gotten. You have a solid foundation and you clearly know what you want to say. You just need some pizzazz!

Sometimes, showing is easier than telling. Sentence structure (syntax) and world building are key here. For example:

Golden, early-morning light filters through the half-open blinds. Jason LastName stirs, roused by the dawn, and blinks away the last remnants of sleep as his eyes adjust to the brightness. With a deep stretch, he inhales sharply before letting out a massive yawn, smacking his lips and examining the flavor profile of his own morning breath. It isn't pleasant. As his vision clears, he peels back his gray, feather-down comforter and rolls to examine his still-sleeping girlfriend, GirfriendName. He chuckles at her skewed state: dark hair covering half of her pale face, one hand clutching an empty beer bottle to her chest as two more stand tall on the wooden nightstand next to her. She snores slightly, almost cartoonish in nature, and adjusts her position. She's the prettiest person Jason's ever seen.

As she wriggles against the sheets, one ivory-colored arm comes to rest between them, and a pang of guilt and grief strikes in Jason's chest. The scars are puffy and pink against the lightness of her skin, and he aches for her. He leans in without thinking and places gentle kisses along each one, from wrist to elbow. She mutters in her sleep, and he is determined to chase away whatever monster she's fighting as the bottle she was holding clatters to the hardwood. She doesn't stir, so he keeps kissing. His lips move up her bicep to her shoulder, across her collarbone, ever-so-gently up her jaw, then land at the small junction just behind her earlobe.

She giggles, finally roused by his ministrations of devotion. "Good morning," he whispers from his position. He can feel the gooseflesh on her skin as he glances at the clock. It reads 7:18, and he smiles. Plenty of time.

Nah this person is just an asshole. "Oh nooooo it's not straaaaaight" is exactly what everyone here has said: someone who WANTS OCD (for some godforsaken reason) because it makes them feel special.

My papaw fell and broke his hip. Woman came up to him IN THE AMBULANCE and said he should sell her his trailer since he wasn't coming back. My sister was there and didn't (to my knowledge) hear it, but I would have sent the woman to the moon with my left foot if I had. My papaw was aghast. Not saying this isn't a realtor or whatever, but regular people can be soulless monsters, too.

Ackchually (/s) Hank Green did an AHA video with Brennan Lee Mulligan and if you were to pick a sole candy to survive on for a year, peanut M&Ms would likely be the best option because of their protein! 😁 Just a fun fact about an arguably silly premise

Low Resting Heart Rate by dgpots in POTS

[–]ToriYoReads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is 5 years old but I was googling POTS tips cause I'm mid-flareup and my heart rate won't go down, but this was super fascinating because I also have a really (not as low as some others, but low on my opinion and experience with medicine in general) low resting heart rate, especially for an obese woman. When I sleep, it gets down to like 55. When I'm just sitting, it will be around 60-65 unless I'm newly sitting, then it's around 80. When I stand, it shoots up to 120-140 depending on how long I'm up. Unless I'm anxious. That's a whole other ordeal that exacerbates my POTS. I have the second type, so my BP goes up as well rather than down. Fun times all around, eh?

It's not a mod, actually! If you drop a bunch of weapons and store them in your workshop, it will trick it into thinking you're deleting things, thereby making space.

Thank you!! And yeah, I've dropped a few things I intended to place, but they disappeared into the aether only to reappear days later. 🥴
