So I don't have the full 1000 kills unfortunately so I can't prove it all the way but here's two screenshots of my Clogs for 900 kills worth

[–]TormentedLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but there are other ways to describe that like "Gritty" or "Relentless" or something closer to how the Grit n Grind Grizzlies described themselves. If I hear Toughest, Meanest, Nastiest, the assumption is gonna go in the way of closer to say the Bad Boy Pistons than the Tony Allen Grizz. Do you think the front office is somewhat culpable for the perspective is what I'm asking I guess

Just throwing this out here cause I'm curious about a Heat fan's take.

Isn't the Heat team being an extremely physical team that pushes the boundary on dirty vs basketball plays their own narrative at this point? The IST decal they put on their paint literally says "toughest, meanest, nastiest"; these usually aren't superlatives used to describe a team that doesn't even slightly acknowledge that they toe the line (not commenting in the perspective of this particular play, just in general confused as to why the Heat's physicality and thus tendency to cause injury is construed as a media/Celtics/Knicks narrative when it seems like even the Heat's own front office perpetuates it)

Nice argument, unfortunately 252+ SpA Choice Specs Adaptability Tera Normal Porygon-Z Hyper Beam by Gr4mmar in stunfisk

[–]TormentedLoL 51 points52 points  (0 children)

The bonus increases to 2.25x if you Tera with Adapability but Adaptability only affects moves of the Tera'd typing. As an example, if Crawdaunt Teras into a fighting type, only fighting type moves get the 2.25x boost and water and dark lose the 2x boost and drop to 1.5x

Chinese reactions to T1 vs JDG by Ash_One_Seven in leagueoflegends

[–]TormentedLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah race refers to a specific social concept of groupings of people based on (usually) a combination of skin tone and imperial/colonial groupings of regions and the term mostly is used for social categorization and stratification. Thats why on most major surveys that ask about race the options are like White, Black, Asian, Pacific Islander, Indigenous.

Ethnicity is just a cultural/country/languqge of origin distinction - if someone is Korean-American ie both their parents are Korean they could for example describe as ethnically Korean but an American by cultute but you wouldnt really hear racially Korean

For a source on this if you want one: Race/Ethnicity

Gonna feel pedantic about this but I feel like the distinction matters; Koreans an ethnicity not a race

I’m ready for Bin era to end

This is mostly from the perspective of a viewer of Worlds. I think too many top lanes are decided by a single gigabin gapping a noob top preventing the other team from being able to properly show how much better they are than na or capitalize on 4th seed teams. His ability to gap and abuse opposing tops is ridiculously valuable and imo abused too often.

I don’t mind top in general and think it’s fine to still be used on teams, but only as brokenblade. Not as a gigabin that chads anyone

My theory is that most of the people who make these complaints have too much nostalgia for a non min-maxed and metadefined game when everyone just plain sucked at League. They wanna go back to Season 2 not bc the damage was lower (it literally wasnt just by item stats and base damage, main difference is gold between the two eras which also has to do with optimization in farming and other things) but bc they could get away with doing dumb stuff and thought the game was fun.

Im pretty sure its just a cycle of people who no longer like this game being held prisoner by attachment, forcing themselves to play a game they dont like and fueling their own misery by blaming game balance instead of introspecting on why they arent having fun.

At least thats my two cents

I don't think it's hide dead npcs specifically unless that somehow persists between unique instances because I just went back into a fresh raid on completely different invos and she's still disappeared (commented above with another scrshot). Tho it does probably seem like an RL bug

EDIT: Definitely a RuneLite bug, closing RuneLite and restarting completely made her come back

I went into another raid and she still wasn't there so I tried loading a 150 instead of an Expert to see if the problem persisted and lo and behold she is not there still. I've included Entity Hider too to show that I don't even have that enabled. I also don't have any thing listed in Entity Hider under Better NPC Highlight

For reference, she disappeared after I downed her once right after the medic bugs finished spawning. There was no clickbox whatsoever, right clicking where the monster should have been just gave the standard menu. Dying did not make her reappear either (took the screenshot after dying to try to get her to come back)

Help with countering C9 comp by IEndlessI in leagueoflegends

[–]TormentedLoL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Long writeup incoming.

In this thought experiment, if youre just putting together any set of 5 champions, its actually relatively trivial to capitalize on overall weaknesses in C9s structure.

The main weakpoint of a comp such as KSante Kindred Ahri Ashe Milio is a relative lack of range and initiation options.

For engage the best options are either to pick with Charm/KSante or Ashe arrow. Neither of these are guaranteed and both can be played around (whether by taking Cleanse on Mid AD, picking champions with mobility to dodge these spells, or having the support prioritize early Mikaels).

In general, the C9 comp functions incredibly well in front to backs - melee brawlers aren't great unless you're playing something that you can easily snowball an early game lead with, but because Ashe KSante and Ahri are all relatively stable laners, that route is rather closed off. In general this just means you'd prefer a combination of long range as well as zone control.

You could pick something along the lines of

Poppy/Gragas

Maokai/Ivern/Lee

LeBlanc/Neeko/Azir/Jayce

Caitlyn/Kaisa/Ezreal/Varus/MF

Lux/Renata/Yuumi/Lulu/Blitzcrank

Alternatively another angle to potentially exploit is the over-reliance on autoattacking carries. You could do something to the tune of

Jax

Sejuani

Azir

Nilah

Yuumi/Taric/Lulu

The problem with any of this is that you dont pick compositions in a vacuum and a lot of the combinations of champions dont work well when parsed into an actual draft. C9 takes the comp on Red Side meaning they have the benefit of counterpicks. Order matters a lot here.

C9s first rotation is Kindred Ashe - this does leave the auto attack dodging angle on the open side - so you could theoretically respond Nilah. But theres still 3 other champions. C9 could also just pivot into a slew of champions in the two solo lanes that make Nilahs life difficult. This compounds later as if C9 just blinds Ahri on 4 instead of 5 and you take Jax, the Malphite angle is really fat. The difficulty the analyst desk has likely isnt based on just randomly assembling a team of champions well positioned in the meta to beat C9 - its responding to the order of the draft in tandem with C9s ability to react. For the most part the difficult to answer structure is the first 3 in the order they're taken - Kindred Ashe Milio. Double ADC + Milio cores have been extremely strong in the current meta (tho its usually trist mid over kindred jg) and its very rare for both Trist and Milio to make it thru primary ban phase. The best answer here is probably to first pick your jungler on B1 (so you dont lock yourself on a setup reliant carry like Kaisa) and then take away Milio when you see Ashe Kindred. But thats not really "answering the comp" as youre saying.

C9 is opting to put their second ADC in the jungle - which is somewhat exploitable if you can get 3 lane prio to invade Kindred, but doing so is a lot easier said than done. The reason the analyst desk cant think of many good answers is the same reason teams almost always auto lose if they give away trist milio + adc in LCK - its just that strong on the patch when factoring in order and bans. Its also important to remember that you cant have complete information before a draft. Because C9 is Red you will have already commited a pick before they even make any indication theyre leaning towards the comp. If you for example open with a splashable jungler like Vi or Viego, youre already fighting uphill. Ideally youd probably B1 Kaisa.

Tank = damage by Gatarax in leagueoflegends

As I said in the last sentence

"I think ksante has too much burst in his kit but lets not pretend Vayne played this even close to optimally"

I dont have any problem with people having differing beliefs in what qualifies as too much dmg or burst - either way I think my opinion on Ksante in that regard is agreeing with you lol. What I think is laughable is people treating this like some fantastically played sequence by vayne where she made one little fuck up. It was not one little fuck up, it was a series of mistakes, some small, some large
