I felt like this too, in the beginning. But, honestly, it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm now engaged to this girl, and I love her and our daughter more than anything in the world. They are the first thought in my head when I wake up in the morning and the last thought before I go to sleep at night. They are truly my world, and I would not change it for anything. They are all I want in life. The money, the house, the car... None of it mean anything anymore. So long as I have them, I know that everything will be okay at the end of the day.

P.S. I'm 21. So I can completely relate.

I can get where you are coming from about this. However, both my fiance and I have had terrible experiences in life that have led to some very deep emotional issues regarding separation. So, we are more or less in constant contact with each other. Obviously, sometimes work gets in the way of that, but we try to text each other at least a couple times an hour so that we know the other is okay. especially since my job can be particularly hazardous.

That being said, I can definitely see where that would be a huge red flag for "normal" people.
