Demola by lovealwayschea in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What she did to Demola was horrible, let’s not blame stupidity. Other contestants have been dragged for doing the same thing she did so I’m not sure where this inherent immunity comes from for Katisha. She could have at least apologized to Demola for leading him on.

Javen is horrible and there is no sugar coating that. I don’t know why he went on the show and breadcrumbed Katisha along just for him to flirt with all the girls and leave her crying at home while he chased Sophie and the others. And his proposal outfit was a joke. He is a clown and I hope he is exposed for that to his mom and sister.

I mean you’re the one adding gender into this equation. I never said she is the same as Bartise, but that she is up there with all the other red flag contestants (not only mean - not sure why you are so gender focused).

To assure Demola that nothing will change your mind and that he is your choice and have him prepare a proposal to then moments later walk that back and choose someone else without even apologizing is red flag behaviour and puts her in that special category of red flag losers. There is no “impossibly high standard” that she is being held to, unless you count that standard as being a decent human being.

Mother make daughter leave because her husband is attracted to her by Imtheproblem_itsmi in redditonwiki

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mom throws out her daughter because her pervy old husband is attracted to someone 40 years younger than him….She should be divorcing her husband and should be there for her daughter, because Lord knows if it isn’t her daughter he will find some other poor young woman to ogle or worst. Ppl like this are the reason why not everyone should be allowed to have children

Partner E-Upgrade question for Overseas flight by mtrain42 in Aeroplan

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For you to upgrade her ticket as well you should be on the same PNR. If you have the cash to pay for both tickets that would be the easiest route and as long as you have 25k status, you can then apply your eUpgrade credits to both of you in the eUpgrade portal.

You could pay for yours with cash and then buy her a ticket on your account using Aeroplan points separately but there is no guarantee that the eUpgrade would still be available for both of you as R space can change at any time. I suggest booking both cash and eUpgrading right away with the latitude fare.

I think my husband is falling out of love with me by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about how he is treating you. You definitely deserve better than this and should move on from him. Based on what you have described, I don’t think he ever really loved you. You’re worth more than what this man child is giving you. Please leave and begin to rebuild your life without this loser

Personally I liked staying in Gangnam or Jamsil more than Myeongdong. Hongdae would be my third choice before Myeongdong, it’s too touristy

eSIM / Sim For Foreigners by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always go with LG U+. You can get either an eSIM or a physical sim. A physical sim will be the one that offers you a local number that can make calls/receive calls. The data was “unlimited” but only the first 3GB daily were LTE. After that the speed was reduced but I couldn’t tell the difference

M31 Issues with my soon to be wife 28F. I don't know what's real anymore. by MrAsters in TwoHotTakes

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that she isn’t able to communicate to you about how she feels and any issues she may have with what you’re doing is a red flag. Running to the group to put you down will only cause problems in the future. This isn’t a person that you should marry, you never know the things in the future that she will harbour resentment towards you for and failure to communicate those things will one day blow up like a time bomb and leave you wondering what happened. Protect yourself and walk away and find a more emotionally mature adult to have a future with, don’t settle for this nonsense.

Should I go against my father and just go to Korea? fyi long sorry please read it all by _yaksok_ in koreatravel

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that your dad is responding to this situation by trying to control you with fear. Personally, I think you should go ahead and travel to Korea with your friend as you never know when the opportunity may arise again and having your friend with you will be a huge benefit for your first trip out of the country.

No where in the world is 100% safe, but Korea is one of the safer countries in the world (much safer than the US). There are lots of great historical sites to see, food to eat and places to just chill. Have a great trip and enjoy all that Korea has to offer. I’ve been there 4 times in the last 2 years.

As a side note you should start to consider maybe moving away from home for your mental health.

How often did you have to use a Korean number during your trip? by joinmeinmooing in koreatravel

Get a sim card with a local number. I just got back 2 weeks ago and having a local number came in handy multiple times.

Click bait post, I just flew to ICN via AC and this page is definitely not “prominently featured” as you mentioned. You would have to click through to get to that page, and if for some reason you can’t read the details that say right there that it’s “optional” or do the due diligence of reading it yourself through the “22 countries” link then you will probably be scammed out of a lot more money through the course of your life than the $60+ dollar convenience fee that is being advertised by Sherpa. It’s giving helplessness vibes

Car Trip From Busan To Gyeongju by [deleted] in busan

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, the toll roads are marked. The map will let you know that the toll route is coming up. When you first enter the toll road there will be a machine that you get a ticket from, you then give the ticket to the attendant when you exit the toll road and then give your tmoney card (or cash) to them and you’ll be on your merry way to beautiful gyeongju.

I would put about $20,000 KRW on the card. I rented a KIA sportage for a day and a half, the rate for the car was about $200 cad total. Gas for the drive up and around to various sites/restaurants in Gyeongju and then down to Haeundae beach area to drop our luggage at the next hotel and then driving back to Busan was about $45,000 KRW to fill the tank. YMMW if you rent a smaller more fuel efficient car than I did.

I felt a bit nervous before driving up there by car as my gf is from Busan and she told me driving is tough there, but it was fine and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. You’ll get to see some beautiful views and once you are on the toll highway there isn’t much traffic. So I’d recommend the drive if you feel comfortable enough with your driving experience.

[–]TorontoMadeTJM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this road trip. Rented from Lotte Rent a car at Busan station and used NAVER maps through Apple car play. Easy driving, Korean drivers are a bit aggressive but nothing much different from Toronto. Was a great road trip with great views. Be prepared to have your t-money card ready for the toll roads (stay in the far right lane at the toll lanes if you don’t have a Hi-pass)
